Ship of the Day

Recommended Posts

So, seeing as there's a fighter of the day, I think we need a ship of the day. Works the same as the others. Just post pics of ships, real or not. I'll start:

Aircraft Carrier Nimitz:

People with their non-existing imaginations....

These could have been posted in the Pic of the Day thread rather than creating more of these "..... of the Day" threads.

As far as Im aware All sunken WWII Ships are world heritage sites ;)

There all listed as graveyards or somink... so no one can touch them.

Tirpiz was raised and salvaged though during WWII I belive thou.

The British tried to sink it with miniature subs, but they broke loose from the mother submarine...by the way, it was only two minis, not three

"Between 1949 and 1957, the wreck of the Tirpitz was broken down and sold as scrap by the Norwegian company Einar Høvding Skippsuphugging which bought the wreck from the Norwegian government. Einar Høvding Skippsuphugging paid 100,000 Norwegian kroner for the ship which was a bargain."
