Hi i have tried everything possible to get the dam game to work.

i have downloaded the xp patch and tried installing red alert word for word on the readme file. i change the compatibilty to win95 as it says to. i then click install redalert and it says preparing to install and then goes to 100% it opens a new window and an error comes up saying " win 5.11 is installed this is a win95 game only"

i have searched the internet to see if anyone has had the same problem with no avail. this is my last resort.

can anyone help??

Make sure EVERY executable and shortcut is run under that compatibility mode.

[*]Click on the compatibility tab

[*]Under the Compatibility mode option, click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

[*]And make sure Windows 95 is selected

[*]Then, click apply, and ok

[*]Make sure you do that with every .exe file and shortcut

EA tech support told me to try that once even when i had told them in two seperate responses before then that i had already tried that. In the end i found the help here
