Tiberium Wars: The Novel

Spotted this at Planet CNC. It seems there is actually a book in the works called Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Scheduled for released on March 27, 2007, written by Keith R.A. Decandido. There is an Amazon.com listing as well. An image of the book cover was found on the publisher's website.

 

 

As you can see it called "The official novel of the best-selling real-time strategy franchise from Electronic Arts". If you visit Keith R.A. Decandido's official site you can see that he has written novels on other popular franchises like Spiderman, Star Trek and even Warcraft, plus a few more. I must say I never expected to see anything like this for Command & Conquer 3 at all.

The FMV's are being shot in HIGH-DEF and will be made into a high-resolution VP6 in the game. We have other plans for these FMV's which is also why we are shooting in HD.

Anyhoot, as for the book, I think we can indeed see plans for C&C 3 to be out mid march sometime.

im not really interested in the books i prefer to be able to see what is happening rather than imagine it

I dunno, I'll wait and see what kind of reviews the books get.

 

The Starcraft books weren't all that great, while I've read each of the Halo books 4+ times, so we'll see what happens with C&C3 Novel :wink:

Talking about Book's based on Games, Dale Brown's Act of War was a much better story as a book, than a game. It's probably the poor acting that let the game down so bad. Well that and the fact that books offer much more freedom of expression and detail.

 

Which is why anyone who does buy C&C 3 has to get the book. I'm betting that we'll have the same story, but in much more detail. I bet it will also fill in certain questions that C&C 3 leaves unanswered.

well the 3rd and 1st halo books ruled the 2nd was done by a different auther and it was really boring, letts hope the C&C3 book mentions RA1 :wink:

 

also i think they should have gotten Eric Nylund to write the book/s he is the best auther.
