vyper 0 Posted November 30, 2006 It was how the game slowed down so much even with a nominal number of units/amount of action in the screen. i had a radeon 9800 pro which was one of the top cards at that time. part of the reason why the old 2d stuff was so great was the consistent smoothness of the game which maintained the 'fast, fluid' gameplay that mike verdu talks about. judging from reactions to BFME2 gfx (i havent played myself) it has the same problem. Now that perdator's here: pleeeeeeease dont let this happen with c&c3! Share this post Link to post
SSTG 0 Posted December 1, 2006 I think I'm gonna need to get a external hard drive for this game looks way detailed Share this post Link to post

The C&C 3 SAGE engine will be far superior to the on used for Generals. It has been optimized and improved on for each game EA has used in. So if your system is up to the task you should get smooth gameplay. Share this post Link to post
TheProwe 0 Posted December 2, 2006 how about ea would give two options to play cnc.. 2d or 3d.. with hundreds of employees, it won't be that hard.. a lot of gamers are after the story.. right?. contrasting/comparing 3d cnc(generals) to 2d cnc(like red alert).. the latter is fast paced and more lively.. and with a simpler interface.. simpler interface could also lead to smoother gameplay.. correct me if i'm wrong in any.. lol Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted December 2, 2006 lol.. You know there is a reason why no game has the "option" of going either 2d or 3d... Share this post Link to post
TheProwe 0 Posted December 2, 2006 lol.. You know there is a reason why no game has the "option" of going either 2d or 3d... wait, wait.. what's that reason?. i can't really figure it out.. lol.. try.. because 3d looks better and more costumers are attracted to it?. and that would also imply money.. lol Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted December 2, 2006 That would basically create a second game, and I don't feel like a four disk game  Share this post Link to post
TheProwe 0 Posted December 3, 2006 That would basically create a second game, and I don't feel like a four disk game  2d doesn't take up that much space.. and creating a second game is not that bad, isn't it?. lol Share this post Link to post
