My favorite thing to do after planting the beacon is getting behind someone who's running or fighting, planting a timed C4 on their back, and then restealthing/dying. Then they randomly blow up and have NO CLUE wtf happened. I have a total of four computers capable of playing Renegade, since my family owns a computer business. So yesterday 3 of my friends and I had a LAN game, all in the same room. It was so great. Share this post Link to post

Sure is cheap and sneaky but thats what Nod are all about. oh i know theyre sneaky, and i was just ranting lol, buuuut 10 minutes into a game? i mean come on thats not even trying, at least try to defeat them. i mean i could have understood it 5 min or 10 b4 the game ended, but 10 min into the game. i mean i have no problem if they come in and nuke i know its part of the game, hell i do it all the time, but i never place ped beacons unless i know my team is dang near close to loseing or are going to loose.....kinda like a last ditch effort to win. What many people in Renegade don't get, is that if you wish to win, YOU MUST PLAY AS A TEAM. It is almost impossible to win if you have 22 people doing different things, but think! If you have 22 people, in a pre-concerted plan, you could attack with 5 vehicles from each side, and STILL have 7 people for defense. If 15 vehicles (I'll use hourglass) coming from three different sides doesn't scare the crap out of you, it sure does me! If you wish to take it a step further, you could have the middle swarmed by 5 first, and as soon as the enemy commits to the hill, sweep in behind him and cut him off from his base. Of course, I have never seen that kind of planning in an attack, because people aren't willing to work AS A TEAM. Lets take the above scenario. The sbh places a nuke. There should be two people wandering around in apc's in the base, with the remaining five each in a building. Once one finds the nuke and reports it, how many people do you think will it take to take down one sbh in the middle of a hostile base? Renegade really isn't that difficult to win in, you just need a little planning, and a TEAM. Think about what I've said, try it, and see how many games you can win using teamwork. One last thing: If you wish to win, don't just go for points. Rather, try to be as useful as you can, be that donating someone better than you and repairing their vehicle, or defending base with an orca, or mining. Just do whatever it takes to achieve victory, and even if your rank doesn't go up as fast, the people you play with will certainly respect you more. By the way, ped nuking is included in "whatever it takes to win", and it is your teams' fault if you can't work together well enough to disarm it. One other point that goes with the above: if enemies are in a building, but you are in an expensive vehicle, or they have placed a nuke, DO NOT JUST HANG AROUND AND SHOOT. Rather, go in, and disarm/repair it. A building is worth much more than your precious vehicle :roll: One exception, is if the nuke is outside, and they will be able to kill you with your abandoned vehicle. In that case, don't be a n00b, and stay in your vehicle. That would just hurt your team Share this post Link to post
