Command & Conquer 3 Box Art & Release Date

[Sonic 301]

The latest update on the Official C&C 3 Site features a look at the box art for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. A release date of March 28th 2007 is mentioned as well. Click on the image below for a hi-res version.

A lot of people will most likely point out that it doesn't follow the traditional C&C box design of a soldiers face on the cover, it does to me though, only this time with Kane. And a little bit insider info for you, the big C&C 3 logo in the middle will have an embossed effect on the packaging so it stands out.

Looks cool. What would be better is if they scraped that stupid rating crap. But yeah, coolness.

I'm liking it. You just knew they were putting Kane on it, about time too imo.

is that the normal or the kane edition box art?

[Sonic 301]

Its probably the standard edition box. I'm not 100% sure but the Kane Edition may or may not look the one in the image below:

Nice, I like it a lot.

My understanding, from the pre-order thread at EA, is that this is *just* the pre-order artwork. But like you said, it's pretty confusing and it could well be the special edition pack.

I think US stores will start to carry the pre-release from Dec 26th onwards... so in the new year in Australia and NZ it should be confirmed in-store I guess.

I don't love the new artwork, but I don't hate it either. It's okay... there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't have that clearly-identifiable-C&C-'ness about it.

But at the end of the day I'm going to buy it regardless of the cover art. So whatever...
