Cabal isn't in this one. You have the 3 factions and that's it.

But surely they will make reference to the ending of Firestorm? They cant let such a cliffhanger go completely unanswered. I guess we'll have to wait and see. :)

CABAL has 2 cores. The one that was destroyed during Firestorm which was the battle computer component, the 2nd was the other core where we saw Kane housed.

This is where CABAL's artificial intelligence is housed. The greatest minds of every man and woman in history lived in these Stasis Vats. During Firestorm after Kane's aparent death, CABAL managed to get Kane into one of these vats. Kane then managed to over-ride the CABAL unit and attempted to use it to fulfill his one vision, one purpose. Hence why CABAL seemed to go haywire in Firestorm.

After the destruction of Cabal's Battle core, Kane used Cabal's secondary system to repair his body and bring him back to life. It was a tricky process, but it succeeded. After Kane's resurrection, Kane abondoned the CABAL AI which had been serving Nod's cause for 2 Tiberium Wars and decided to go it alone. Being in those vats he was able to absorb the knowledge of the others, and now believes he can go it alone.

I've written this so many god damn times that it changes slightly as I gain more knowledge of C&C 3. But this I believe is how Kane's resurrection came about after the events of firestorm, and is the explanation to the said ending.

It seams damn true. from where you got that kind of info?

He talks to EA behind our backs. (no offense to King)

As for CABAL, he is finished. Unless EA has something planned for him, he is gone. But I believe the cyborg element of the TS universe should not just be discarded into the wind.

I just hope either in the game or its expansion, we see abandoned cyborg factories that were left over from the Firestorm incident. :hate:

I would like to see these structures as Tech structures similar to the Mutant Hovels that we all have heard about since its reveal. :hate:

This would ensure the balance issues that all the sides can have access to the cyborgs but they would have to fight over them. :hate:

Cabal will not be a major part in Tiberium Wars, but he certainly means something, if what King says is true, and it seems to really be true, so there you have it. Cabal is the instrument of the Messiah's ressurection, making him a significant character ever since Kane's disappearance.

I think he's a significant character, but that doesn't mean he has to come back.

They did say we'll find out more about how the hell Kane keeps coming back after "dying" in each game when we play the campaign.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

I believe CABAL used the generated ion particle interference that crippled GDI communication with the Philadelphia to launch his true core, potentially cloaked using Nod's stealth technology, offworld as the combined forces of GDI and Nod were busy battling against a sort of remote controlled copy AI of CABAL himself, destroying yet another false core and eliminating CABAL's terran ability to further cause conflict, as he had already fled.

Most likely, CABAL will come out in the expansion, though I doubt he will be a playable faction in all honestly, as it would basically boil down to cloned human cell-culture cyborgs of various sizes and shapes, ways to harvest them, and tiberium mutations. So, while it might be possible for him to constitute a fourth faction, it may be too similar to the as-of-yet-unnamed Aliens to really recessitate it, or be too close to a 'Yuri' faction depending on how they expand it. But there's still the hope.

Also, CABAL as a faction could easily resemble the Imperium Shadowhand from Dark Reign.
