The Signal was the Tiberium Missile / Beacon at the end of the Nod TS Missions WITH the destruction of the Phily. HOWEVER, as we follow GDI story as the main plot, that never occured...

The 'Scrin Ship' was intended to go up , take Kane and his "elites" off of Earth, and kick Phily's ass... whilst Kane launched the Tiberium 'signal' from safety... safely watching the Scrin take over and probably make him some sort of regional govenor of the planet...

Why do I say this? If he didn't want to get to safety, why did he teleport away in the Nod ending? If the Scrin have teleporting / chrono like technology, that there explains Kane consistantly escaped death!

Therefor it has come to my conclusion that the Tiberium Missile in Nod ending was THE Signal to the Aliens that it was time to come, and that the destruction of Phily would prevent the necessary command and control logistics for GDI to efficiently fight the Scrin.

GDI has now built up a SPACE DEFENSE SYSTEM, ION CANNONS, PHILLY, AND STARSHIPS. As stated in an interview (not very much else noted, but I assume the ships suck compared to Scrin ships.)

If you do not believe GDI has starships, then Phily is impossible to exist, a station of that size needs massive launch systems and large ammounts of logistic space ships to assemble it. EA said GDI's ground tech went 'backwards' because they focused on Space Tech. This is why the death of Phily was so important to the Scrin, but the size of the explosion was mistaken for the Tiberium Signal itself...

That makes some sense, as we all did see the planet being Tib-Nuked at the end of TS's Nod campaign. :?

I want 2 see more screens of the Aliens. I finally got Photoshop for Christmas and my first piece of art will be C&C 3.

C&C does look like a decent game. Cant wait to get it. Ive already paid for it full at EB Games, so all I have to do is walk in and get it.

I dont know if anyone has seen it already, but there is another german C&C video on YouTube, it shows mostly multiplay. The video is cool, but i dont know what they are saying  .

This could be an old clip too  .

and to think, EALA is aptly named for its location in Los Angeles....

Josef, those are some interesting speculations. Although I'm not sure about Kane and "his elites"

If he could teleport, why build a ship? Why not just teleport a bunch of elite Cadres onto the Philly, steal the tech, then blow it up?

And knowing invasive alien species, "regional governor" just means that they eat you last

I havent been able to view the current vid that was released. All it did was play audio (in German) to a black screen, or the visualizer in WMP

That means you don't have the necessary video codec to watch it. ;)

I ended up just watching the one on youtube. Its easier.

(last time I ordered something online, it was shipped on the day it was released, so it actually didn't arrive until the next day or so.)

The last time I did the whole pre-order business, I got a polite email the day before it was to be released telling me they'd experienced delays, and wouldn't get the game in for another few days...

For which I promptly yelled at my computer for 10 minutes, then cancelled the order, went to some random video game store the following day and brought it in store. So it turned out aright I guess. ;)
