Sonic 297 Posted January 5, 2007 It has been awhile since the last community new update, so here we go with the first one for 2007. has a shiny new blue layout. A job well done to Banshee the crew over there. [*]Everyone remembers the popular Halogen mod that was canceled last year by Microsoft. The same team are back with their new project called Asylum, a total conversion mod for Zero Hour. Check out their new site for some media and the details about the back story. [*]GameReplays.org recently posted their History of RTS article. In two parts it tells the story of the RTS genre, including Command & Conquer. Some good reading there. Start with part 1, then carry on with part 2. [*]In some other news from GameReplays.org. They have posted an interview done with yours truly. This interview was done a long time a go, so long a go that I actually forgot about it. Thinking back, it was done just after we launched the Remix layout which has since been replaced. Click here to read it if you want but it's nothing exciting. [*]CNC Generals World have revealed their new World Builder section. Packed with lots of information and resources to help you learn how to use the World Builder for Generals and Zero Hour. [*]Other quick mod related updates: - (YR) Whiteboy's Rules | Updated to version 1.5. - (YR) It Came From RA | Second beta released. - (ZH) Shockwave Mod | Render of the F-18 Hornet and a wallpaper featuring a small USA fleet. - (TS) Return of the Dawn | Version 2.61 now available. - (REN) Red Alert: A Path Beyond | The latest APB developer blog has been posted. - (BF2) Conspiracy of Nod | New renders of the Apache Ah-640. forum. Nyerguds 102 Posted January 5, 2007 Gods, when will those GamesReplays idiots learn? Those tube people at the end of FS are NOT FREAKING KANE CLONES :bang: Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted January 5, 2007 Well they can give their newbies all the incorrect info they like. They're in it for the so-called "hardcore professional" multiplayer at the end of the day. At best you can compare them to an American automobile, which is made so it works. So long as the veteran community is getting it right and are providing the facts that what matters. The community here are like an Italian car, well constructed, thought out, and built with passion. Oh Sonic, by the way, I never knew you ran the Eastern Acoustic Works Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 14 Posted January 5, 2007 Hey now, we all have our little side projects  Whether thye are or arent, I dont think it matters, cause EA isnt going to change the story, but regardless, nice to see some of those mod updates, as well as the halogen team doing something constructive, even if MS blew them off (¿wtf?) Conspiracy of Nod -- nice name choice 8) Share this post Link to post
Sonic 297 Posted January 6, 2007 Oh Sonic, by the way, I never knew you ran the Eastern Acoustic Works Just a site I put together in my spare time  Seriously though they didn't even get close to getting the old Empre-At-War.com address right, which is still active by the way, it redirects to Petro-Gamers.com now. Some words of advice to whoever posted the news and interview on the GR.org site, when you publish something on a website make sure the information is correct and test your links. If its wrong you damn well fix it. Share this post Link to post
