In TD, there were a few FMVs that told us how tiberium evolved into what it is now.

For instance, at the beginning of the infection, you have simple pods growing in the ground [we see this in TD].

Now, as Tiberium starts to get more concentrated and better at what it does, it starts to effect trees [TS] which start to release Tiberium gas into the air and into the ground.

Now, in TW, tiberium starts to form very, very large crystals which take up crevaces and [this is just elaboration right now] swallow up the trees thus killing them off.

So, what we have now are large tiberium pods that shows the lastest evolution of tiberium. What these pods do is exactly what the Tiberium trees did. Now, if we try to delve into how exactly tiberium grows in TW, we can tell that the pods [more like mounds actually] are using the minerals in the soil [as far as i can tell, tiberium is even infecting salt now] to grow tiberium.

However, in Red zones, this does not apply. In red zones, tiberium infection has gotten so bad that tiberium will actually spread regardless of minerals in the soil [which is how tiberium spread in TD].

Why this has happened is due to causes unknown.

What is this Deezire's website?

http://www.deezire.net/

Yeah wot he said... I first heard him for his RA2 mod and his fiendish AI work. But he's done mods for TibSun and for Gen/ZH.

But back to difference of opinion... a healthy community should support differences of opinion. And when they are offered they shouldn't be shot down, and subject to personal flaming.

Different strokes for different folks...

Very True, but is not the main point of an argument/discussion to provide opposing view? Try wrapping that around ur brain.

Well, to be completely honest, Westwood never wanted the Aliens within C&C 3, they would come in C&C 4.

Well we get three sides either way so its all good. ;) Now let us kick the scrin off our planet, then go galactic on their asses! :P

It wont make any difference if we have the radar being provided by the Con Yard or the radar station. In fact, having it on the Con Yard is a lot better. Because if you have multiple con yards, not only will you have a lot of radar structures, but you can build more buildings. This gives you the advantage of efficient building tabs and multiple radars. Not only that but the Con Yard is a lot stronger than the Radar station.

The MCV builds structures, it doesn't serve up radar. The communications building is significantly cheaper than an MCV. The necessity of multiple MCV's isn't even worth it now with the advent of the cranes.

Now all you have is a generic "nothing" structure that's only purpose is a stepping stone for tech advancement.

Yeah it's a shame the MCV has little strategic value as a target now... that's definetely an element of C&C3 that's missing from earlier games. At least in Generals the 'MCV' was the owner of all the Super-Powers... rather than each production-building having it's own superpowers.

It's just something that needs tweaking... not a real issue.

ie. crane building structures cost more, or build slower.
