I didn't want to come straight out and say it at first, because it does seem arrogant, but I find it to be true. SMALLER, LESS ECONOMICALLY AND MILITARISTICALLY INFERIOR COUNTRIES ARE IN FACT JEALOUS OF THE POWER AND WEALTH OF AMERICA.

You know, a little humility goes a long, long way. This is the sort of attitude that got the US into this mess in the first place. I defend my country but I don't feel the need to rub anyone's nose in the dirt because of it.

leading off of that, I know we may be bigger than israel, but the only way we would beat them would be with brute force and overwhelming numbers...they're as good or better than us 1v1, and have the same equipment mostly

Knowing how a lot of your country really isn't government controlled and tribe owned and ran, I think rape and murder could happen a lot more than you or me know also.

TOTALLY INCORRECT! u really think i'm typing this from a tent don't you? Like i said b4 this isnt a banana republic. 6th largest pop in the world. 3rd fastest economic growth in asia. nuclear and missile power. free media that's probably more professional than yours if this thread is any indication. I had a friend from america come here and i asked him the difference. he told me its mostly the same, just different kinds of trees and weather. but we r definitely third/second world, i am not denying that. not enough high-rises you see, but thats changing fast.

Actually the tribal area is just a small area, a small strip along pak-afghan border. its basically only 1% of our total pop. And btw have u even been there? they are the most hospitable ppl on the face of the earth, not like savages or something. Just these days they r seriously pissed off by all the bombing, death and innocent ppl, children and schools are being destroyed by your 'predator' drones in their area

Never said you were in a tent. The fact you're talking to me is fact enough, I never mentioned anything about you, so don't think EVERYTHING is an argument.

Hahahah, innocences? I bet you we've hit some terrorist camps in there, the people just wanna bitch and cry innocent to make us look bad. Hell, I bet it's mixed. Train the terrorist at mosques mixed with the local residences, so when it does get blown up, everyone can bitch 'bout mean ole' America.

no need to say how chivalrous you are for not saying it b4. Cause you already DID in your previous post. And i replied to that in my previous post btw:

Funny, i dont hear people around here bitching about China. Infact people love China here. since a long time too btw, not just recently. infact, since our independence, they have treated us with respect and honored us as friends. we consider them our brothers. you ask any pakistani, even teh most illiterate on the street, and he will tell you chinese and pakistan are brothers. not like USA which coerces other countries for its dirty work.

However, you name a race or culture and we have it in 15 different places in this country. That tends to play a big role in crime statistics.

i agree. imo just think its disproportionately higher. i think its more of a question of national culture instead of ethnic background.but thats a separate discussion.

Name one time we attacked an ally. Oh, what's that? OH RIGHT! You can't! We've never stabbed anyone in the back unless you count Britain but that was because we got tired of their s***!

duh, iraq, afghanistan. another example of your excellent knowledge of history. here comes history 101:

Iraq was at one time the no.1 ally of US in the arab world. US supported iraq to attack iran after the islamic revolution in iran, which resulted in the iran-iraq war of the 80s that weakened iraq. after which US decided that iraq's oil made it worth more than a pawn and f***d it.

you used them to weaken them, then you f***d them.

Afghanistan was also an ally of the US. The US created the mujahideen that fought the soviet invasion. after the soviet defeat and disintegration of USSR, you ran away from your mess and you f***d them. When they were your ally , a rambo film was made (rambo III). at the end of the film it says: this film is dedicated to the brave ppl of afghanistan who are fighitng the commies. LOL . Now they r enemy no.1.

btw you dumped pakistan after using us against soviets as well. you didnt outright attack us, ( perhaps because of our alliance with China) but basically put so many economic sanction so that we bled to death. the perfect coverup for making a state fail.

you want more examples? the Federation of American Scientists published a report detailing the names and dates of over 100 military operations by the US against other countries IN WHICH THE US WAS THE AGGRESSOR in the last 50-60 years. go get it if u can.

basically you guys showed every1 here what a *** level of knowledge you have of the world. And on top of that you think your the one who can fix it.

It is I who pity you my friend. Not many nations have the privelage of being in 3 vietnams, or 2 at the same time for that matter.

**** your pity; I refuse to accept it. All you do is use that lovely device called hindsight and bash whoever it was all to hell. Did it ever occur to you that it sounded like a good idea at the time but ended up being a huge mistake? Most likely not.

Is that why you re-elected bush? basically your saying that we f***ed you and we're sorry, but we gotta f*** you some more. I am appalled at your sense of justice.

Cindy Sheehan? :haha: She's a media whore, completely unconcerned with the war. She's just pissed because her son died in Iraq. A tragedy, yes but not to the point where she whores herself out like she did. **** that snobby bitch.

As a point of interest, I'd like this 'war' to end as well. I've always been under the impression that domestic should come before global.

Thats not include the schools/innocent ppl that were blown up, or the innocents you guys picked up and sent to your CIA gulag. war is not something you can stop from spilling over into other countries.

With or without us, most, if not all, of that would probably occur. I am positive that your region of the world tends to be more volatile than most others. Surely, you can agree to that.

The lives, property and safety of the ppl in your own country r not safe and u think you can save the world. Thats it right there, thats what i call arrogance. You say this sort of stuff cause you wanna feel good bout urself. There are GLOBAL POLLS saying that the no.1 threat to peace and justice in the world is america, its not just me.

Also consider that America is taking a lot of guff for staying out of Africa and the genocides going on down there. So like I said before, we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't. We've been placed in a precarious position over the years that doesn't lend well to any of our actions.

a pathetic excuse for your inability to reply satisfactorily.

Yeah... kay.

do you know how many times you've said that? about a hundred. basically thats the only logical point that you ever made, and i conceded that the media has innacuracies.

It's not simply inaccuracies that I'm getting at. It's all of the sensationalism and overhyping going on. You know, the shading of the truth or leaving out some key facts or events that would change the entire story.

i agree. imo just think its disproportionately higher. i think its more of a question of national culture instead of ethnic background.but thats a separate discussion.

We don't have a national culture, national langauge... or national anything for that matter. That's what used to make the US a great place to be.

duh, iraq, afghanistan. another example of your excellent knowledge of history. here comes history 101:

Iraq was at one time the no.1 ally of US in the arab world. US supported iraq to attack iran after the islamic revolution in iran, which resulted in the iran-iraq war of the 80s that weakened iraq. after which US decided that iraq's oil made it worth more than a pawn and f***d it.

Now they r enemy no.1.

You call me ignorant and then post this?! I am well-aware of all of these events. Stop presuming me to be some ignorant redneck.

Anyway... each of those events are misleading. It's another case of "sounds great at the time!" But then it turned out to be worse off for us in the end, which then leads to what we have today. However, even during those times, if we hadn't been in some way involved, someone would have started bitching about it. If you can't honestly see that the US is a bad situation internationally, you're blind and more ignorant than I thought.

basically you guys showed every1 here what a *** level of knowledge you have of the world. And on top of that you think your the one who can fix it.

And what have you showed? That you're just another ignorant America basher?

SS said:

......So like I said before, we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't.

this point tends to crop up alot so i decided to answer it in detail:

essentially, conflict resolution requires all parties to be at the table and an international vote to be held. i'm sure you agree. The platform for doing that is the United Nations. but look at the setup of the United Nations. there are only 5 members in the elite security council. only 5 countries sit and decide the fate of the world. whats more, 3 are from the western bloc ( america + europe). the others r russia and china. of them only china secures of the interests of asians as a whole cause russia is obsessed with itself.

If the security council is expanded and more countries are given the veto power, then conflicts will be resolved more quickly. For example there is no muslim country on the security council. whenever the muslim countries demand their right through the UN and it involoves the disadvantage of israel, the US vetos the vote, even though it is usually overwhelmingly in their favor. There is no african country on the security council. thats why more and more african counntries reject UN intervention.

Allow a major african and a major muslim country on the security council and you will see that the world will become a less volatile place. Its called democracy.

Only problem is that SOME countries dont want to relinquish their monopoly on the security council. The unilateral actions of the united states tends to narrow down the odds of who that someone is.

SS said:

We have no soldiers on either of our borders so that's a garbage point. And before you say anything about border patrol or INS agents, they're not military; they're law enforcement to enforce the law.

this point tends to crop up alot <snip>

Maybe, just maybe, there's a reason for that. >_>

essentially, conflict resolution requires all parties to be at the table and an international vote to be held. i'm sure you agree. Probably true but I don't think one country out of each era of the world is enough to justly decide anything. In my way of thinking, there should be at least 3 countries from each region of the world; including North America, Latin America, Africa, the Arab world, the African world and Asia... and Russia too. However, the biggest issue is agreement on actions. That would be impossible to attain in any decent fashion.

Only problem is that SOME countries dont want to relinquish their monopoly on the security council. The unilateral actions of the united states tends to narrow down the odds of who that someone is.

Maybe if the UN, in its current state, wasn't so ****ing worthless, something could be done without force.

I took offense to it because you presume most Americans are ignorant swine. We are not. Just take a look at Shrub's approval ratings. They're in the tank, which effectively means the people, as a whole, are disillusioned and against his actions.

History is all we have in these discussions. Like the bald dude said in Red Alert : he who conquers the past commands the future.

look guys, now that most of the arguments are on the table for all to see, and since we have reached a common point i.e the UN needs restructuring, this is a good time to end this and we can get on with talking more about our common interests like CnC.

I never had any problems with the american people , their problems are of the least of my concerns. I dont live there so i dont really care. They are for you to solve and all. I just have a BIG problem with the American govt and thats all i wanted to convey. However, just one last thing, dont get mad and all but this point is really bothering me so i have to say it:

according to the federation of american scientists, in the last 50 years there have been more than 200 conflicts in which the US was the aggressor. just wanted you to know that so that when you guys vote next time, you keep that in mind.

what a sweeping assumption my friend.

u took that the wrong way. I meant to say that my country has its own problems so the USA's internal problems are the least of my concerns because of that. i just have big problems with your government.

but its not like i dont care when somehthing happens in the states. you mistake me for an unfeeling person. basically every1 feels bad when something crap happens anywhere, and every1 feels good when something good happens anywhere.. thats what makes us human. And for the record, its not like people all over the world were celebrating when something like katrina or 9/11 happens. so dont think that the world 'hates' america and all. the world hates american government and not american people.
