Patch 1.06 for C&C 3 Coming Early Next Week

Recommended Posts

I agree with most of the comments you made King about what a community manager should be... but may I say - these are also the sort of qualities that I expect from community leaders likeyourself.

-coming back with calm, direct approaches

-interpreting criticisms/faults and looking for the positives

-responding in witty/intelligent manners... that are so damn clever we respect you

Lately everything is just negative... and it doesn't have to be. This is the sort of attitude that will lead to site closures, which is why the joke is not funny!

I do have to agree with you there. And believe me, I take the professional and mature approach very seriously elsewhere. But you're probably asking yourself why not here?

I think it's probably something to do with the case that a person can only take so much. I believe that is evident with Sonic when he had "broken character" as he himself put it, is indeed highly unusual.

In this community however, I have from the very start said (when I joined this site as a visitor in 1998) what has been on my mind. I've always been a very open person about the C&C games, and the community in general. That is how I've become. I will never hesitate to make my opinions known.

And I mean come on, when I departed from this site for a couple of months, nobody really missed me, and nobody really asked where I had gone or what I was doing. And does it bother me if anyone here hates me? Nope, cos I've learnt to live with it. That's the way life goes. But at least I'll face the music when someone has something to say. :P

Thanks for the responses and your candor above.

I appreciate your efforts sonic, and this still my first stop for news and information on the game/franchise I love. Seeing you post news on the xbox version which you don't have, and patches on a game you've spent only a few hours playing on is proof enough of your passion for me.

All I'm trying to say is that If we didn't have this site and community... and it wasn't a fun place to visit and interact... we'd have less opportunities for things like Zee's lego adventures - and that will a crime against humanity!

Anyway I better stop... because I'm afraid I might break out into musical show-stopping number! This is probably related to watching Mel Brook's PRODUCERS on the weekend - and in particular the song "KEEP IT GAY!" (I think there's something in that for everyone!)

Relax. Do whatever it is to de-stress: get drunk; get laid; get stoned; find religion; play solitaire whatever... or maybe all 5!?!

Crap, I don't score high on your de-stress test!

Btw, this thread has everything in it to be great. I just had a bit of fun looking in my mailbox for the 2 mails I have sent to Apoc in the past 2 years. And I've just re-sent them: "Generals (The First Decade) does not support mods anymore" and "C&C3 Mod SDK testing?" are in his mailbox once again. You think he'd notice they are the exact same mails as sent on 14th April 2006 and 2nd July 2007?

I'm looking on the bright side though. SunAge is coming. Puzzle Quest is coming to PC. UAW is coming. And the C&C3 Mod SDK is coming as well.

Hmm what's left?

-Zen sand gardens!

I think the next wave of fun will be once the MOD start coming... maybe Zee can team up with someone and create the alternatie SP campaign. Complete with lego cutscenes.

Ironic that the boring patch, has created an interesting thread...

You won't believe it... I've gotten a reply to my resent mail from 14th April 2006: "Generals (The First Decade) does not support mods anymore". Wow 8)
