C&C 95 High Resolution Patches

Recommended Posts

Nyerguds and Komfr have created a series of patches for C&C 95 (Gold Edition) that allows you to play the classic C&C at higher resolutions rather than be restricted to the standard 640 x 480. Each patch will allow the following screen resolutions.

  • 960x600 Patch - This patch allows you to play the game in the higher resolution of 960x600 while restoring it to the original (320x200) aspect ratio the game was made for.

[*]1024x768 Patch - This patch allows you to play the game in 1024x768 resolution. The 4x3 aspect ratio makes the C&C graphics look slightly flattened compared to the original though, but anyone who has been playing on 640x480 is probably already used to that anyway.

[*]1280x768 Patch - This patch allows you to play the game in 1280x768 resolution, which is slightly wider than the normal 1024x768.

[*]1280x720 Patch (Widescreen) - This patch allows you to play the game in 1280x720 widescreen resolution.

[*]All Patches - This pack contains all different versions of the high-resolution patch for C&C 95, with the PASCAL source code. It has a 960x600, 1024x768, 1280x768 and 1280x720 patch.

  • . If you feel like battling the cumbersome FilePlanet download system that is.

Woohooo! Awesome! :D

I hope this will be released for RA1 as well, since it's almost the same engine. :D

I'd like to see a 1280 x 1024 patch. That's the native resolution for a 4:3 19" LCD monitor.

Yea, same here. Really though, we need pd or VK to make a resolution menu where you can choose a resolution other than have a fixed one.

Well the guys at PCNC who actually downloaded and installed, do actually report mixed results.

The FMV's play in a smaller box in the corner, some blank screens and 'does not compute' and other such stuff. Obviously this is a work in progress, and so as Luk3us said, by the time we get around to re-installing - they should have everything ready to go.

It would be nice if someone would give C&C the APB treatment... adding new features into the old engine so that it plays nicely on our modern systems.

One day...

Oh hey, did that flash version ever get finished? I'll have to google that up again and check now that I'm thinking about it.
