But who cares... It works now.

And thankfully so do ALL of my 5.1 speakers...

Is Emperor the only game that gives you these movie glitches?

No, my old FF8 PC version also gives the same problem. I've also now figured out that the glitch is purely audio. The sound jitters alot.

Are you using an onboard sound card?

I used to get problem when I was using the on board sound card in my computer. Like onboard video setups, onboard sound card aren't good when it comes to games.

No, I'm not using an onboard. I'm using a Creative Soundblast Audigy ES, bulk. Its works fine for me.

I've had this issue before and here's what EAGames said :

We have tried all of your suggestions and are still unable to get the game

to play. We also have another friend who is experiencing the same issue

with Red Alert 2. His configuration is WinXP...ATI Radeon 9800 128M...P4

3Ghz...512M ram. Both systems are on directx 9.0b and have the latest video

drivers. I'm attaching the dxdiag as you requested. Please let me know if

you have any solutions for this issue.

Hello,

Thanks for sending that dxdiag. Unfortunately, we've found that Red Alert 2 does not like to run on dual processor systems or hyperthreaded Pentium 4's. The game was developed prior to such processors, and so it could not be tested with them at the time. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you could either contact your system manufacturer for instructions on how to disable hyperthreading, or install the game on a system with a Pentium 2 or 3 processor.

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts Online Support,

EA Technical Support

So no there's no fix that they know of....
