Guest MachineDoctor Posted September 25, 2003 I picked up my 2 (yes two!) copies yesterday at EB Games for $30 each. I have two copies of Generals so I can play over my LAN with my Nephew. Still toying with it but so far it seems great. I do think that they should have waited and let what is now Zero Hour ship as the original Generals. It's probably a little of everyone's fault (EA making money and wanting to ship the final product and us for wanting this game so badly that we were pestering EA to release it. KyleBrogan 0 Posted September 26, 2003 I really like the new Combat Chinooks, but I also love the EMP Patriots... I just wish that there was a way to give players everything and let them go at it. In the challenge mode, I keep getting stymied because I can't seem to work around the limited view of the Generals. I'm a tried and true USA player, but I think that we got kind of screwed in that all of them lose the Paladin and Crusader. The Laser Crusader is a decent substitute, but it's just not the same... This is a great game, and I'm still having lots of fun with it, but I'm just slightly frustrated in that it seems that USA got a bit gypped. Can't play on the DT (Intel G Card) but plays well on the LT. Paid 24.95 for it but its worth the price and The best feature for me is the supply route :wink: AllGenerals maps were converted without a glich and like I said the game is great. Sonic 295 Posted September 27, 2003 I'm pleased with how well Zero Hour runs compared to Generals. I could run Generals fine but I would get few slow downs and frame rate drops from time to time. With Zero Hour I don't get any, runs like a dream. Its as if they have optimised the game better or something. Share this post Link to post

USA planes have freaking countermesures!!! yes, the aircraft carrier and that is cool but everybody foresaw it but this?? the enemy shoots a missile at any of your planes and the plane drops a bright flare that will disable 50% of the missiles? how cool is that? I'm still amazed by it. Also you can upgrade to have the same laser in the paladin in the plane. So your planes are now really hard to get hit (by missiles, gaitling guns can still get them easily) I also loved the special weapons you can get. You can get from leaflet drops to demoralize enemy troops (which actually works not like in Real War) to a B2 (supposedly B3) dropping a MOAB, a huge really cool weapon. The game is just amazing and for those of you still in the lingo of buying it or not I say it's worth it. Yes, you do need another GB but its worth it.
