Sonic 296 Posted February 18, 2004 I got bored so I though I'd post these links to older versions of CNCNZ.com from past years..... Nov 2000 http://web.archive.org/web/20001109091500/.../www.cncnz.com/ Feb 2001 http://web.archive.org/web/20010202174700/.../www.cncnz.com/ Jan 2002 http://web.archive.org/web/20020127060522/.../www.cncnz.com/ Feb 2003 http://web.archive.org/web/20021124170307/.../www.cncnz.com/ Right Now! http://www.cncnz.com/ (well we all know what that looks like) Old logos..... Shocker 0 Posted February 19, 2004 Thanks for that list Sonic, it's always good to go down memory lane every now and again I thought I'd make a list for TSNNZ: December 1998: http://web.archive.org/web/19981201080553/...riansun.net.nz/ February 1999: http://web.archive.org/web/19990204041018/...riansun.net.nz/ April 1999: http://web.archive.org/web/19990422172304/...riansun.net.nz/ Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted February 20, 2004 Damn this site has some history.... Most just pop up and then dissappear. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted February 20, 2004 It's a shame the image weren't backed up from the older layouts. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted February 20, 2004 Feb 2001 would have to be my favourite layout I'm not sure if I've seen the layout before that - can't remember it without the pictures. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted February 21, 2004 Damn this site has some history.... Most just pop up and then dissappear. Yeah it has been going for a long time now. There aren't many sites left in the community these days that were in the pre-Tiberian Sun release era. Only sites like CNC Den (back then is was the TS Den) and TiberiumSun.com have stood the test of time. I think Planet CNC start about the same time has CNCNZ.com. Sites like Battleground TS, Rising Sun Network, The Tiberian Sun Center....all gone now to WWW heaven Koen, the current layout is based on that Feb 2001 layout, actually they are almost the same. Notice that logo from the Nov 2000 layout? There is no .com part in the name. The story behind that is we used have the domain www.cnc.net.nz (doesn't work now), thats where the letters CNCNZ comes from, the Command & Conquer NZ part was dropped when my long time friend Oren Nachman (aka Nachmore) purchased the www.cncnz.com domain for us in late 2000. The name was then changed to CNCNZ.com, as it is today. Share this post Link to post
Area 0 Posted February 21, 2004 Heh. Remember the GCX and the Chaos Modding Team? I still have some files saved I think, deep in the caves of my hard drive. I miss the thriving day of CnC. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted February 22, 2004 In the end GCX and Chaos were failed project sites that never really took off for reasons best left un-said I think  Share this post Link to post
Shocker 0 Posted February 23, 2004 Failed sites eh :/ I'm still sad about the Fall of Order. We were going along so nicely, really racking up the visitor numbers with a rocking layout and all - and then Dex vanished overnight :/ Now the only person that's still around (at least on ICQ) from those days is Kev. /goes off and cries Share this post Link to post
