Guest radicaldude1234 Posted February 19, 2004 I try adding some units and their corresponding CSF strings, corrected it seems everything. It still says "You have encountered a serious error..." anyone know what I could have forgotten? Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted February 19, 2004 What kind of things are you doing? If you put a unit that fires nukes with a relead rate of 1second it may well crash the game, or a nuke with a spread of 100 cells etc... Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted February 19, 2004 Are you sure that you have covered everything about those new units? Weapons, prerequiste etc. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 19, 2004 This could be numerous things. It could be a weapon issue, warhead problem, missing HVA or missing art entry. When does the error occur and what kind of unit is it? Share this post Link to post
Napoleon the Clown 0 Posted February 20, 2004 Certain weapon types used as a unit weapon (such as ion cannon in TS) will cause problems. Some settings on the unit can cause problems if the game no longer supports them. There are so many things that could be wrong the best thing to do is probably do changes one at a time and try them each until you find what does it. Slow, but faster than pure guess work. What game are you modding anyway? If you find a problem unit post the rules.ini for it and maybe we'll see something. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 20, 2004 Actually, all superweapon systems can be used as unit weapons and sometimes with satisfying results. The Ion Cannon for example can be used perfectly in RA2/YR but not as a superweapon mind you. You can attach it to any unit as long as you edit it properly. The error probably stems from something else. Most likely a typo on the weapon statement or the warhead statement. It could even be an art problem as well. Share this post Link to post
