Renegade 2007 December Update

A big December update for the Renegade 2007 mod, a total a conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 3. First up is the "Raising Havoc" Xmas Podcast, running for 19 minutes, the team discuss the current status of the mod. You can download or stream it from the Renegade 2007 site.

 

There is an early preview of how Havoc will look in the game. The team are taking a more realistic approach on his face.

 

 

We also get our first look at the Hourglass map, a remake of the original Renegade map. This map will feature more gloomy style while other maps will be more vibrant. Two sample images below.

 

 

But that's not all the news for Renegade 2007. There is the Concept Art Contest, as well as previews of the GDI Officer, GDI MRLS and the Timed C4. You can check it all out in this thread on the Renegade 2007 Forums.

I would assume the game is too new for it to be standalone *and* free.

I'm not gonna buy UT3 just to get this mod so I'd really like it to be a standalone someday.
