naw it was dissapointingly light on RA3 info... nothing else mattered/compared after that.

(Probably should not have included the jokes about rigging the comp in BCPT... they are the sort of comments that should be kept for Aftermath.... when you're talking about USD$5000 cash prizes it's not appropriate IMO. It's fine in Aftermath though because thats the nature of that show!)

There's something ironic about all this.

I found this BCPT to be quite entertaining, and I didn't even skip any of it! I also found it quite humorous, and better presented than the others.

But a lot of the community are just like.... "meh" to this one. So either I'm trying to embrace C&C again with too much of an open mind, or I'm missing the point somewhere???

It was entertaining, yes, especially the BC5 and, as always, the Raj/David interaction- but I guess everyone waited for RA3/KW details we didnt know yet- since thats what the show advertises- and didnt get a single new tidbit. Thats where the disappointment stems from, imho.

I'm taking everything as it comes.. I don't hold no excitement or promises and I don't hold no grudges. OK, gratis, I'm a little tight up about Co-Op, but that's because I like my campaign missions to be insanely drawn out and tough as nails. As soon as I know I have that option, and the AI is willing to batter me within an inch of my life, then I'm all good. SupCom does that nicely afterall... ;)

But no, I expected nothing new really because all the info we were given, was just being made official. This is what they told the media afterall, and all information has a planned release date. Also, did you notice how they were careful not to go nuts about it this time? They said what they were going to do and they delivered just that... no sugar sprinkles. :P

The idea is to promote Kane's Wrath, not RA3.

Response #1

I disagree - they should capitalise on the momentum.

or

Response #2

cue annoying smart-alec 5yr old voice

"Well it's their fault they released the information before KW was released!!!"

---

But surely they should have shown more KW MP action from the community day in the BCFive to help promote the game... if that was the case! (they could still show the tourney match obviously)

But as nice as these guys look, I would have preferred more screenshots and concept art as b-roll - rather than talking heads.

But I guess the problem was, I really like the BCPT in it's own right, and this was the first time I was actually expecting new information and didn't get it.

---

If I was in charge - I would have annouced RA3 in BCPT, then the magazines publish their exclusives afterwards. It makes the BCPT a more valued placed on exclusive information and drives sales issues to the magazines for deeper information.

Oh... no one has commented on the casting... didn't he say something along the lines of 'casting talent back'. Correct me if I'm wrong?

ie. some actors reprising their roles!?!?

Despite demographic issues, :), I would be happy with Kari back as Tanya.

Oh... and the RA3 taking over the intro - wasn't executed very well. The russian greetings, and text etc was a nice touch - but they should have worn different clothing or at least the fluffy hats! Raj would look good in a fluffy hat!

I think it was a fairly decent show this time around. :) Some nice info on KW and a little bit on RA3. But just enough to be interested. :)

I just realised none of us have talked about C&C Mobile...

How much will the game cost anyway?

Y'know - I don't really know anything about the specs of this game?

It's just SP right? Would not MP be a lot of mindless fun - on the train.... in class.... ha even a tourney by phone!

Someone should mod a turn-based-version to play by email!!!

Fast, fluid, SPAM!!!

The graphics weren't as good as I was expecting, based on earlier screenshots.

But I wonder if it's using the xbox radial interace, or yet another new one?

This was my first BCPT so I was... well, a little disappointed. David and Raj act more like game show hosts and less like "anchormen" and time is unnecessarily wasted with these antics.

Anyway, it wasn't too bad in retrospect. The Scrin epic unit looked cool, the interview did concrete some information we were pretty sure on, and there is more to come.

To be honest with ya, the Dave and Raj partnership works really well. And considering these guys are just normal developers (I've met them, and know what they're like) they do a pretty damn fine job. I think without the humour and such BCPT would be a pretty boring show. The humour breaks it up and keeps people entertained, since some people have attention spans of gold fish.

That is true, I forget we are not a "normal" news watching audience.

Well EA know that everyone loves the bad guys.... even though I thought the allies were a better side in RA2, cos the Tesla coils sucked. :P
