Suggestions for Patch 1.1 KW

Alright, just got done playing with all the factions and i figured we should start a suggestion thread for the first patch. Hopefully Apoc takes a look at this and passes some of it along.

 

-The MARV Main gun animation when it fires seems a tad weak looking to be honest, maybe redo the animation to make it more devastating.

- I fired a direct Ion Cannon blast on a Redeemer and it didn't even take half of its HP down. I know they are called epic units for a reason but i think they should be more vulnerable to a super weapon.

 

I'm still playing around with the different combinations on units so I'll post some more suggestions later, Please everyone post legit suggestions so we can help EA out.

In regards to bugs its fine to say what needs fixing. As far as balance goes, nothing should really be suggested for at least a few weeks yet. I mean its far to early to be saying something is OP or UP.

The Marv might need a small tweak in it's Tiberium Harvesting. $350 a square seems quite a lot. The way that thing just mows everything in it's path can quickly wipe a field off the map... $250 might be a more acceptable amount per square.

 

another bug I noticed are engineers... Despite clicking to capture they'll often sit next to the thing you want to capture... It's an annoyance especially in the 4th Campaign mission where you're constantly under fire. You don't wanna be wasting engineers like that!

 

There was another thing as well, but I forgot what it was :P

I believe the so called engineer bug is intentional, it just sits there for a few seconds right? That was to prevent cloaked reckoner abuse. :) If I had the game though.... :(

Yea, I noticed that. Seems like it's on purpose, but sometimes, the engineer doesn't want to respond to your commands anyways.

 

"Hey, go cap that!"

"K, I'll go over there... and sit"

"DUDE WTF? CAPZ IT! J00 GONNA DIE!!111"

"ha, no... oh wait? ****, nod buggy, garrgggh!111"

 

In regards to animation, after a game is released, the most common things to fix are the balance and technical issues. I've never seen animations fixed, except if it was like bugged or something.

Yea, i doubt they will fix the MARV weapon animation but it would be nice, and yes the engineer thing is really annoying sometimes. Another thing i think needs a look at is the ichor seed that the scrin now have is kinda lame. 1000 credits for barly any tib when nod gets a decent amount for 500.. definitely needs looked at

When playing world domination, you sometimes get into a fight with your army-that-can't-attack-air (and you have no base) against one single scrin-air-unit-that-doesn't-need-to-reload.

The result? You can do nothing to win and have to surrender. :(

Redeener weapon animation is also kinda weird....

That's just your fault that you didn't build AA units.

 

Stuff that does need fixing is BH anti air. They have nothing really effective against a ****load of air units. Those lame excuses for AA called Mantis is worthless, I'd MUCH rather have a slingshot or something.

 

Also, it's just lame that the Scrin epic is the only one that can shoot at air units with it's main gun. That already removes their biggest weakness right there.

first, Fanatics should be more powerfull,(they used to take out a mammoth with two squads) :o

second, grenadeirs grenades should be faster.

third, Enlightned squads should fire faster.

and thats all fore me
