Not exactly the type of reply I was looking for. I have read this forums for quite some time and realised long ago you are the type of person who generally post's idiotic statements in an some kind of attempt to start an argument / flame war.

 

So for a second lets just assume you have a considerable amount of money, how would you spend it differently? Oh please tell me? =) Why was my purchase such a waste of money? I would love to hear some logical reasoning behind hit, rather then some retarded statement that you just posted.

 

Now think to yourself, is it that you 'enjoy laughing at morons who "waste" money like that' or the simple fact that you are just ****** off that somewhere along the line you screwed up so badly that you couldn't even contemplate spending that much on a car, let alone a notebook? =)

If you think so, mister new guy. But, I am a different breed. I don't just lay down and kiss ass like you expected. You want us to envy your overpriced notebook but I don't. I only sigh as you waste your money like it grows on ****ing trees... or was it even your money? Was it mommy and daddy?

For one thing, I wouldn't be spending that much money on a notebook, and I build my own desktops. So, given that, I'd be spending money on pimping out a pickup like a Silverado SS with the Intimidator package, or a King Ranch F-150. Perhaps another form of blowing money recklessly but at least I'd have something to show for my spendings than a notebook.

No, I just enjoy laughing at morons who blow their money on stupid bull**** like notebooks like this. And, as it stands, I am a student and can't afford a laptop like this one even if I wanted to. And it also seems like you're not astute as you claim to be. If you were that astute, you'd have gathered that I just bought a new Jeep and that... oh guess what, douchebag, I spent more on that than you did on your stupid laptop. So much for you 'reading' any threads.

Just because I haven't posted here doesn't mean I'm new, have a look at my member number and register date

 

I prefer the technical support area of forums and I saw a few topics with peoples laptops specs, and considering I just picked up a new one recently I couldn't think of a better way of actually coming out of long term forum lurking than making my own topic =)

 

You build your own desktops? thats extremely nice to know, but what happens when you head out of town for a week or so, or it's a nice day and you would prefer to be sitting outside rather then stuck in a room? You just can't beat the portability of a notebook... hell I don't even really use my desktop thats much anymore, it's mainly used for file storage now. When I'm actually at home I have my notebook hooked up to my 22" ASUS Monitor, wireless keyboard / mouse and sound system... so it's perfect for a desktop replacement too!

 

You would rather mod a car? Every cent you spend on modifying a car is just the same as burning that money, because you will never see it ever again. Also at the end of the day "pimping" out a car is only going to impress stupid teenagers, no body actually gives a crap about done up cars after there teens (early 20's at latest) so all you are going to impress is some stupid 16 year old girls? yay? you win..

 

Oh wow your new jeep is barely worth more then my notebook? congrats, multiply your jeeps price by about I dunno 6.5 times and thats how much I spent to purchase my car.

 

Now think to yourself seriously, I wasn't just given money, so I must know how to manage my money? So why talk about me wasting my money when obviously I know how to manage my money insanely better then you. Oh btw you are older than me too, and don't even try the stupid student excuses, because I'm one too =) So if being more successful then you makes me a moron, then I'm quite happy to be one

I have a laptop, and it's specifically for portability. If I want to be portable, I will. It's that simple.

Perhaps I enjoy that sort of thing and would rather do that than sit in front of a damn computer screen all the time. Ever think about that, you pompous ass? Besides, there's more to work on than just the outside. There's plenty of engine parts to modify and I'll install a performance exhaust because I can. And maybe, just maybe, I would deck out a vehicle because I enjoy that sort of thing instead of simply trying to impress strangers on the damn street. If you don't like pickups, fine, I'll deck out a minivan to pick up hot soccer moms. How about that instead?
