Mideast Crisis 2, the highly anticipated Command & Conquer 3 total conversion mod is now available for download. It features all new graphics, new sounds, new music, and new gameplay. You will need Command & Conquer 3 fully patched up to play Mideast Crisis 2.

 

The team which brought you Mideast Crisis returns with a sequal! This mod puts you in charge in the not-too-distant future of either the Israeli Defense Force or the Guardians of Islam in a battle for territory around the middle east. Instead of harvesting a resource like is standard in C&C3, you must hold resource points on the map. This makes for very different strategies from C&C. In these games, you truly use the entire map rather than just parts of it.

 

The other cool part is the faction design is very very different. The IDF is very air based and has powerful units which all arrive via airlift, whereas the GOI builds their structures on the battlefield. The IDF has very small bases, but the GOI has quite a number of buildings and technologies to build.

I didn't like its graphics at all I personally love the cartoon graphics of RA3. It's much more colorful and easier to recognize everything in the game.

That is where you are wrong. Never compare a C&C3 mod to RA3. Keep on topic. The graphics are good though not colorful enough.

 

In my opinion, the mod is very good. However, since it's incomplete, I hope there will be a new version coming out when the third faction will be put into the mod.

Its still a beta, they still have to add the 3rd faction and there is lots of balancing required. Making mods on this scale is no easy task you know. These guys aren't paid to do this, so try to be a little more supportive.

Mods like MEC2 can't be made for RA3. There is no Mod SDK for RA3.

yea men i know that, thats the point of telling it, sooner or later and SDK will be released and mode like that will be possible. the RNA is very nice engine (at least visually)

Ok so I've just spent a couple hours playing this mod... and it's FANTASTIC. I love the new dynamics, I love the detail, I love the unit responses. They're all so very, very great.

Took me a while to understand the new dynamics, but it's a blast and well worth the download and installation.

I love the unit responses too. The SLING drone has an excellent actor. He really does sound like a hyped up online gamer. The MIG is funny too. "Allah tells me to kill things." I love it.

I got a lot of good responses on the Bulldozer, and I love every single unit I did, but I can't nominate myself now can I?

Sonic, I can't play games now as I had uninstall C&C3, KW and RA3 a month ago due to the instability of my systems. I intended to reformat it but couldn't do so as I am waiting patiently for my private slow downloads (low seeders and high leechers) to finish... which will probably drag to the end of next month.

 

But rest assure, once I've reformatted my systems I'll try out this awesome mod. This mod should probably inspire the dev team to make Generals 2, I hope.
