Just recently a new W3D Renegade engine based mod was announced. It has been called Command & Conquer: Tiberium. The project is headed by Aircraftkiller, who used to design many new maps for C&C Renegade back in the early days. Here's brief overview of this new mod. With over 5 months of testing and development having been completed, Renegade X Open Beta 4 has been scheduled for release on the 22nd of March, that's only a couple of short days away. The new version promises to be one of the biggest releases ever. A summary of what's coming in this release can be seen below. 3 new levels: Under, Canyon, and Complex. Auto-patcher (!) Modding/mapping tools (!!) Ingame Jukebox (!!!) Smoke Grenades Vehicle drops Optimization for better performance and crash fixes Vehicle kill messages (seeing what destroyed your vehicle) Timed C4 countdown (audio and visual indicators) EMP grenade changes Pawn and vehicle movement adjustments New vehicle locking system Idle-player kicking system (with warnings) Improved spotting system and radio visuals New Havoc/Sakura specific explosive arrangements New C&C-mode themed loading screen Oodles of fixes, balance changes, and more! Basically that's my experience with IE. When I installed Windows 8.1 back in November I used it just once to download Firefox. So with Microsoft retiring IE, I wonder if they will provide an update that finally allow it to be removed/un-installed from your computer.

We are very late in posting this, so it's time to catch up on the latest from the Twisted Insurrection for Tiberian Sun. A new patch is going to be available very soon that fixes some of the performance issues encountered in the latest version of the mod. There is no date for this patch but it's been confirmed that it solves all issues. In other Twisted Insurrection news. Time to catch up on the latest news about the Mental Omega APYR mod for Yuri's Revenge in the form of news bulletins #12 and #13, that have been posted recently. Will there be a Moon mission in Mental Omega? The answer is: yes, there will be a Moon mission and it will mark the return of Yuri's advanced air force to the mod with the introduction of the Epsilon Aerodome, a structure will allow you to build the units you already know and love such as the Invader and Basilisk, but also additional aircraft that will be revealed in the future. Development and testing for the OpenRA version of Red Alert 2 continues with this new video that was posted recently. This video demonstrates the ability for this development version of OpenRA to read sound effects from the original game data. The current stable version of OpenRA does not support Red Alert 2. If you are really interested or want to contribute, check out the mod on Github.

After a 2 year absence, the Roundtable Discussion finally returns. Zack Snyder has finally tweeted a look at his new Batman (played by Ben Affleck) for the still untitled Batman Vs. Superman movie. You can also see the new look Batmobile. A brightened version.... It all looks ok at first glance. Still not sure the actual movie will be any good though. I just get the feeling they are disregarding everything from the 3 Nolan Batman movies.

As your question appears to be modding related it has been moved to the correct forum.

The new theme for the forum is up and running, its designed around the colours and style that arrived with the new look main site in early February. Like the main site, the primary focus was to refresh the blue colours. The change is noticeable here on the forums, but is not as significant as the main site. I didn't want to go crazy changing everything, just introduce the new things. "cncnzNewBlue", the name of the theme, uses a new top header background, I fixed the top navigation tabs so the active tab matches the the page selected. Most of the black backgrounds have been stripped out in favour of a very dark blue. Other than that I have not changed many other colours. Even the though the new them is active I'll still be tweaking a few extra things here and there as I see them, stuff that I've missed etc.... If you spot something that doesn't look right please let me know in this topic. The previous theme, "cncnzBlueRes", is still available for those who want to use it. Use the Change Theme pop up menu at the bottom to switch between them. And while we are on the subject of themes. The original IP.Board light theme has been temporarily disabled due a problem with it that I discovered while testing and working on this new one. I doubt many people used it anyway.

Its a trivial thing really. Hence my nitpicking comment earlier.

Should that be "edition"? I know its nitpicking, pisses me off when people do it, but I had to point it out. Don't worry though, I've seen Nmenth make the same mistake with Cartoon and Conquer as well Episodes are for TV series, comics have a next edition. That's how I see it anyway.

Its actually kind of refreshing seeing them push it back. Hell is only a couple of weeks. Rockstar could push the game out on the their original scheduled date and then force everyone to download gigabytes of updates or spend some extra time polishing it. Currently playing through it again on the PS4, visually it looks fantastic. Of course on a top of the line PC it will look even better. But it will still play the exact same way.

I squeeze in a game or two of Renegade X every now and then. But not much else. For the first time in a long time I don't have any of the C&C games actually installed any more.

It's been missing for awhile now, and now it's back. It's "Time To Play The Game"... again. In other words one of our catchy slogans from the past has returned to be part the official site logo. No real reason for it being back, other than the time was right. C&C games are meant to be played!

So I'm like many month late in mentioning the new Metallica song, Lords of Summer. This has been out since around June 2014 apparently. So what do you think? I like all new Metallica music
