If it works on XP, and it sounds like the same computer, so if you want to play ZH, do so on XP. I would say the age of the card is why W7 is struggling with it. -

It's not advised to use old drivers. There's a reason new drivers exist and they tend to fix issues that old drivers have. It's the age of your card, not necessarily the operating system or driver. Continuing to use an aging piece of hardware will invariably lead to issues exactly like this. As a point of interest, your video card is not on the Windows Vista or Windows 7 hardware compatibility list. Take that as you will, but it's an indicator. -

If you're running Windows 7, you shouldn't even need to install any versions of DirectX. The video device itself might be the issue since it's incapable of higher versions of DirectX, and Windows 7 doesn't need to have 9.0c installed since it runs by default. Are your graphics drivers all the way up to date? Are you using the very latest drivers? nvidia released an update not that long ago. Install the 280.26 driver update and go from there. What's your make and model of the video card? I know it's a geforce 6600, but who made it? -

Does the same issue persist without the mod on Windows 7? I can say for sure ZH works fine on W7 since that's what I have. -

Counterstrike is all about multiplayer so it's not really a clone of anything since COD took cues from CS. It wasn't until Condition Zero did it get some sort of singleplayer, and it looks like this is no different to the original release... -
Sorry but there's no excuse for rioting since it does more to harm your cause than to help it. Rioting might be the language of the unheard, but it's usually the worst way to improve a situation. Just makes your group look like violent hoods and that's not an image you'd actually want to promote, but hey, that's just me.

If things like this were true, the US would already be a police state. And we're not. I'm fairly sure we've had far more violent riots in recent history than the UK has. I don't see a pathetic riot changing a whole hell of a lot, if anything at all.

The whole thing is stupid. Apparently the riots broke out because someone got shot, and based on what I've read, that person had a hand in drug dealing something seedy. Seriously, this is just the hoods and chavs taking advantage of a dumb situation to act like assholes.

Looks like Diablo 3 is going to more of an MMO type game than it was before. Then again, the entire point of the game is creating a party or a group and going hogwild. Diablo 2 was more successful online than it was offline. And being that D3 is more online than offline, it's no surprise that Blizzard won't allow any actual modding to be done.
