How To Play Generals / Zero Hour In Windows 7 X64
Plok replied to Johnnyxp64's topic in Generals / Zero Hour
Seems you have a mod with a bug (mines.ini is not a regular Zero Hour file) Delete all mods, patch the game to 1.04, don't use sloppy No-CD cracks. You CAN downgrade DX. It's a must when playing older games (for instance, that is the only way you can play Star Trek Armada II on Vista/7). -
Nice one. It reminds me of the CivV (Ciw?) intro (haven't played the game, though). But where are C&Cs?

You sure?

Victory Games Developing the Next Command & Conquer
Plok replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
What's wrong with SAGE? It has shown its defiance towards time. Basically the same engine moved Generals, Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3. TW looks pretty much more advanced than Generals, and it's really hard to believe that it's the same, but only tweaked engine The engine is irrelevant. The gameplay is what counts. That's why everyone plays older C&C games -
Actually, if you saw the Bananaz documentary, you could've seen that between 2001 and 2010 they HAD live shows. There was a big stage with a curtain on which projections such as the one above were shown, but behind the curtain was the REAL band with Damon Albarn as the singer, as usual, and you could only see their silhouettes. They sometimes changed the lyrics and music style (compare this live version from the one on the album). As of 2010, they no longer hide, but instead projections are actually music videos of the songs and you can see the entire band. BTW, take a look on Youtube for their Feel Good Inc. live performance on MTV Awards 2006. That was the most expensive animated band's performance ever made.

Win98 was glitchy as hell. My brother, when he had it, couldn't run a PowerPoint presentation because the system would crash But, at least it could run pre-Generals C&C games and ST: Armada 1 properly

He said that patching old C&C's is lame. Then why does Blizzard do that, as the most successful RTS/RPG developer? Why just two years ago Starcraft: Brood War got patch 1.16.1, and the game is 14 years old! But I agree with what he said about EA considering C&C being just a prefix for games that are totally meant for earning money. That's why they made Generals.

How To Play Generals / Zero Hour In Windows 7 X64

This glitch is common in RA2 too. Have you tried installing the game in a directory different than Program Files (I hear that it's quite a pest in Win7)? -
Not everyone has Win7 and its DX11, Jam Even Starcraft II has support for DX9 (and it crashed 90% of the time on my PC during this summer)

Red Alert Unofficial Add-on: Tactical Operations
Plok replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Missed opportunity? Eh... I said you can see a link to a video pack when viewing the comments a bit under the release info itself. I've been using RA+ for a year or two, and I'm satisfied with it. I also made my own video pack using EA's ISOs and your CS ISO. -

In the future, I would recommend linking to N3tRunn3r's RA+, which has the game properly patched to 3.03 and includes both expansions and a LAN patch. The only thing it excludes are the cutscenes (but there is also a link to a video pack when scrolling down). -
On DeviantART there's a list of top 36 deviations in the past 8 hours. Among them there was this epic win: http://cupcakesryummy12.deviantart.com/art...%3A8h&qo=17

LOL, I saw the video a while before you posted this thread It's nice. TIBERIUM LEGOS SEASON 3 CONTINUATION????

"Dark secrets" like obsession with going to the toilet all the time, traumas from being attacked by ants that came from a flower or happiness for cutting your legs off? That's called "talk-show-that-is-such-an-epic-fail-that-it-makes-things-up-to-fill-the-program-before-damn-soap-operas-come-up"

NZ C&C Fans: Second Chance to Grab C&C 4 for $20
Plok replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
It seems New Zealand has enough emos to start an export business. If emos want to die slowly, they cut their veins. If they want to die fast, they play C&C 4. -

You draw 'em yourself or take some pics and hack their resolutions?
-
This, however, doesn't apply with azri_apoc's voxels. That guy can remake stock WW voxels to make any other voxel-maker ashamed
-
DD, I still wonder where did you find a furry wallpaper at all. I tried googling them (not goggling them ) but didn't find anything that had a resolution near to a wallpaper
-
Actually, no offense, I don't think you had to replace the Westwood Kirov in the first place
-
Yes. I have played almost all missions of vanilla Generals and the first few of Zero Hour, some skirmish and the Generals' Challenge. With ALL THAT being just a graphically nice-looking piece of ****, I really didn't have the guts remaining to play more without a total-conversion mod.

An interesting find This also shows us how bored people who do these statistics are
