  1. It's December, and PC gamers know what that means - DBolical's annual Mod of the Year and Indie of the Year awards! The voting process is the same as always - simply go to the ModDB/IndieDB profile of the project you want to vote for, click on Vote Now, and you're done! You have until 11 December to do so, at which time the Top 100 mods and Top 100 indies will be unveiled, which will have their own voting process afterwards. On the 22nd, the Editors' Choice will be published, followed by the Players' Choice for unreleased projects on the 27th, and on the 29th, we'll know the Players' Choice for released projects. To reminisce 2019 in modding and indies, DBolical has prepared Year in Review articles on ModDB and IndieDB. Also, voters are eligible to win some games! So get voting, help your favourite C&C mod/standalone game get to the top, and you might just go home with an extra game!
  2. Earlier today, the last results of ModDB's Mod of the Year and IndieDB's Indie of the Year awards for 2018 were released - to be exact, those in the Player's Choice - Best Released categories. In ModDB's Mod of the Year awards, the Contra mod for Zero Hour won 6th place, while honourable mentions went to Mental Omega, Twisted Insurrection, and Tiberium Essence. In IndieDB's Indie of the Year awards, no C&C-related project entered the top 10, while honourable mentions went to Red Alert: A Path Beyond, Renegade-X, and Tiberian Sun: Reborn.
  3. The results for Player's Choice - Best Upcoming Mods/Indies categories in ModDB's Mod of the Year and IndieDB's Indie of the Year awards are now out! The Command & Conquer modding community has once again made us proud by entering both listings. In ModDB's Mod of the Year 2018, the ambitious C&C Generals Evolution mod for Red Alert 3 won 4th place, while the long-awaited Tiberian Sun Rising mod for Tiberium Wars got an honourable mention. In IndieDB's Indie of the Year 2018, both of W3D Hub's upcoming standalone Renegade mods have earned an honourable mention - Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising and Battle for Dune: War of Assassins. Tomorrow, on 28 December, the results of last category will be revealed, the Player's Choice of Best Released Mods/Indies, so stay tuned for that!
  4. It's 11 December, and if you've been paying attention, you'll know that it's time for the Top 100 lists in ModDB's Mod of the Year 2018 and IndieDB's Indie of the Year 2018 awards! Here, the voting process for the mods which will reach the top 10 is even simpler - go to the main pages for the Top 100 mods and Top 100 indies, open the category you wish and click the big Vote button next to the mods you wish to support. As is tradition, Command & Conquer has numerous projects listed, which just goes to show how dedicated our community still is. In the Mod of the Year, the C&C community was made proud once again - we got Twisted Insurrection in 3rd place and Dawn of the Tiberium Age (both for Tiberian Sun, standalone) in 8th place. Honourable mentions went to Mental Omega APYR (for Yuri's Revenge), Contra, Rise of the Reds (both for Zero Hour), and Tiberium Essence (for Tiberium Wars). In the Indie of the Year awards, no C&C-related projects made it. Congratulations go to all C&C projects in this year's awards in all categories!
  7. The results are in for the Players' Choice part of this year's Mod of the Year and Indie of the Year awards in the Upcoming category. In the Mod of the Year, the C&C community was represented by the Tiberian Sun Rising mod for Tiberium Wars at 5th place, while in the Indie of the Year, we had Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising getting an honourable mention. Both award events have one more important date scheduled. On the 29th, we will know the results of the Players' Choice in the Released category.

Modders and indie developers take pride in these titles, and it is one hell of a recognition for the most successful projects out there.   11. The second phase of DBolical's 2016 awards has begun - Top 100 lists have been formed! The following C&C mods made it to the Mod of the Year Top 100, in alphabetical order: C&C: ShockWave (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) C&C Tiberian Dawn Redux (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) C&C: Untitled (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) Contra (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) Dawn of the Tiberium Age (C&C: Tiberian Sun, standalone) Deep Impact (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) Evolutions: Real Time Strategy Evolved (C&C 3: Tiberium Wars, upcoming) Mental Omega APYR (C&C: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge) Operation: Firestorm (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) Rise of the Reds (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) The End of Days (C&C: Generals - Zero Hour) Tiberium Essence (C&C 3: Tiberium Wars) Twisted Insurrection (C&C: Tiberian Sun, standalone) In the Indie of the Year awards, only OpenRA and Renegade-X made it to the Top 100. There is the notable absence of Renegade mods like A Path Beyond, which were a mainstay of these awards. There is a little less than 10 days to vote for your favourites among the selected 100, so show support for your favourite mods!
  12. DBolical's awards for the year 2016 have officially kicked off today: Mod of the Year, Indie of the Year, App of the Year and VR of the Year. The rules are simple - players vote for any mod, indie game, mobile app or VR game from the database until 11 December. After that, a list of Top 100 (Top 50 for AotY and VRotY) will be made, after which the second phase of player voting will take place, which will also last 10 days. After that, Editors' Choice awards will be announced on 22 December, Players' Choice Unreleased awards on 27 December, and Players' Choice Mod/Indie/App/VR of the Year on 29 December. There are also random prizes for those who vote. There are many Command & Conquer mods on ModDB and IndieDB, show them your support by voting!
  13. Both the Mod of the Year Awards 2014 on Mod DB and the Indie of the Year Awards 2014 on Indie DB have reached the Top 100 stage.
