The results are in for the Players' Choice part of this year's Mod of the Year and Indie of the Year awards in the Released category, which was, however, scheduled for Friday. In the Mod of the Year, the C&C community was made proud once again - we got Twisted Insurrection in 3rd place and Dawn of the Tiberium Age (both for Tiberian Sun, standalone) in 8th place. Honourable mentions went to Mental Omega APYR (for Yuri's Revenge), Contra, Rise of the Reds (both for Zero Hour), and Tiberium Essence (for Tiberium Wars). In the Indie of the Year awards, no C&C-related projects made it. Congratulations go to all C&C projects in this year's awards in all categories!

Sometimes, the community just surges and there are many things to cover at once. This is definitely a good thing, meaning there are still people who find C&C games interesting as they are and/or as modding platforms. So here's a roundup of recent community news: The 1.16 version of Dawn of the Tiberium Age has arrived, and has already received a day-one update to version 1.1662, bringing new units, a new singleplayer mission, two co-op missions, new multiplayer maps, multiplayer auto-saves every 2 minutes, and so much more. The team behind the Tiberian Sun Rising mod for Tiberium Wars has broken their silence that lasted since January, posting three new screenshots. Our friends at the German C&C Saga are continuing with their series of interviews with mod developers, this time with W3D Hub considering their long-standing standalone game Red Alert: A Path Beyond. Read it here - it's available in German and English. In more "domestic" news, we are now using the space that used to be reserved for conventional ads to advertise projects from within the C&C community (and nothing else, so you won't see any funny stuff!), and have created a poll for our next game night. Over the past two days, the Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA for friends) standalone mod for Tiberian Sun has received several updates, including numerous bugfixes, one of which was the bug where the game would continue if all AI enemies were eliminated, as well as asset additions and brand new features in the updated game client. The newest version at the time of posting is v1.1555, though to be on the safe side, keep an eye out on their ModDB downloads page for any other potential updates. -
Version 1.1113 of the standalone Dawn of the Tiberium Age mod for Tiberian Sun has been released. Not much info on this particular release has been posted. You can download the latest version by clicking here.

Dawn of the Tiberium Age, a mod for Tiberian Sun that recreates the first Command & Conquer game, has now been updated to 1.11009. ' rel='lightbox'>http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10865/SCRN0013.1.png You can download the latest version right here or, alternatively, if you already have 1.11007 installed, you can launch the game and the launcher itself will update the game for you. The stand-alone Dawn of the Tiberium Age mod for Tiberian Sun has been updated to 1.11007. You can start the game via the launcher and wait for it to update or download the full updated version of the mod right here. This latest version fixes some common bugs, adds a few new options and four new maps. Version 1.11 of the Dawn of the Tiberium Age mod for Tiberian Sun has been released, accompanied by a trailer that depicts some of the new features. The mod can be downloaded here, and while it's downloading, have a look at the change log that can be found here.

Bittah Commander has posted a new video demonstrating the "Comp Stomp" game type, as well as the new AI, in the Dawn of the Tiberium Age mod for Tiberian Sun. It shows how "Comp Stomp" maps generally work and how much tougher the AI is in Dawn of the Tiberium Age 1.11 than in any of the previous versions.
