Chickendippers knows the score, conyards are fast and they're less annoying and easier to kill than stupid dozers!

Arrgghhhh,

IS there anyone who think that the Dozers are better? (not just for gameplay)

Maybe I should have accidentely forgot the CY option.

Dozers are NOT supid. Yeah, so what? OK, its easier to play with a CY. But I'm looking more for the realism and a better challenge.

Its more challenging with Dozers.

I'm not talking about what is easier to win with... :(

I don't mind the Dozers in Generals but I favour the ConYard, to me its the way C&C should be played.

I agree with that, but the Dozers give Generals a bit more reality and a bigger challenge.

If you were to destroy the CY and the War factory of the enemy, then they can't rebuild.

With 1 dozer or a worker you could start it all over again 8)

GDI? This is about Generals/ZH. A dozer alone might be weaker, but when you have multiple spread out, then they are a true challenge to find and destroy. The Stealth Generals' workers are even harder to get.

it would be nice to make such a thing but you all are awhere that there are serious coding issues resulting from making it this way.

 

1. You limit yourself to 12 buildings max (forever!)

 

2. the best you could hope for is to increase the distance you can build from the construction yard, note you can not build any farther the code does not support building off of othere buildings like the old systems did. So if you want to make very small bases unless there is some way to trick the code that your conyard extends the whole map but then you could build a building right in there back yard...

Con Yard! It's much faster and more fun - Con Dozers are bloody annoying!

 

I don't understand why they changed to a dozer/worker anyway

cause with a CY from the moment you click on the correspondent unit/structure a timer starts which actually indicates the building time

and when it's ready you can place it where you want

 

with a dozer/worker the building time is indicated in percentages,

and it takes a h*ll lot longer
