Renegade X September Update

Renegade X, a total conversion mod to bring C&C Renegade to the modern Unreal 3 engine, has posted their huge September Update. Some of the things included in this update is their 13 minute long September Podcast which you can grab right here. Another cool thing that the team made is a video displaying the Stealth Effect for the Stealth Tank. The video also highlights how vehicles react to their environment, getting more dirty over time or having a more damaged appearance after a fight. You can download the video by clicking here or

. Two new songs have also been released, "Blinded" and "Move it", which you can download and listen to. They've also released images of the GDI M1A1 Medium Tank (seen below) and Nod Mobile Artillery. Also, the map "Under" is complete and looks as beautiful as ever. The team has also released images of the Stealth Black Hand and the Flamethrower.

The Mod is great, I love everything i've seen so far. C&C_Under is so awesome, the flamethrower looks deadly, and the SBH looks like Spider Man...lol

I'm getting UT3 just for Renegade X.

 

Btw, isn't the song called "Blinded" not "Blind it"

Fixed and yep, I'll probably buy UT3 just for Renegade X. Though I did like the MP of UT3.

Hmm, buy UT3 just for Renegade X? I wish the mod is a standalone instead, much like how the "A Path Beyond" team did with their mod, and I downloaded it rather than installing Renegade again. Standalone is much better.

You will need UT3 to play it. Not only is this EA's property on a non-EA game, but we'd probably get our asses sued by Epic if we even considered making it into a stand alone. This is not the W3D engine.

 

Plus UT3 is literally 25 bucks over here, and its only getting cheaper. Buy the game when the mod comes out and I guarantee you the Colonel's Chicken Bucket will cost more than UT3 + Renegade X.

Yeah, that sounds fair. How much can a year old game cost in another year (especially if we consider that UT3 is not the greatest game in the series) ? I guess I'll wait coz I still have to find were to buy cheap graphics cards.

UT3 is still NZ$99.95, almost 11 months since it's release. But RenX looks very very good so I may splash out for a copy at some stage.
