Luk3us 63 Posted December 29, 2008 http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ The most annoying part is where it "jumps" at the end of the line. Post yours! http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted December 29, 2008 45 words, guess I'm kinda weak sauce XD Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted December 29, 2008 Hahaha 46! I still need to look at the keyboard to type faster so with more practice, my score could jump up. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted December 29, 2008 I can hammer out around 49 with only a single spelling mistake just looking at the screen and not the keyboard at all. About another 8 or 9 less per minute if I take a glance at the keyboard lol. If the sentences made sense I probably could push up to beyond 60... but to be honest, anyone beyond 65-70 spends too much time at their PC. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) I got 55 + 2 mistakes, but only because I threw beer all over my main keyboard a few days back Edited December 29, 2008 by Inferno Share this post Link to post

mormreed 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Or if you were thinking them up like right now, just thinking of sentences off the top of my head I can type way faster. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted December 30, 2008 Or if you were thinking them up like right now, just thinking of sentences off the top of my head I can type way faster. Totally agree, mate! Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted December 31, 2008 I've always been good at typing. In 2nd grade (and a few grades after) they made us take "Technology", which was basically, "CAN U TYPE? GOOD 4 U CUZ NAO U KNOW HOW TO USE COMPUTER 'N ****!"... It was retarded and the teacher always got mad because I would type insanely fast and I didn't use "homerow". She kept giving me low grades even though I had 0 mistakes and yet was doing 50 words per minute because of the homerow thing. Funnily enough, I just noticed my left fingers rest on a, s, d. FPS gaming FTW. Luckily had the teacher for my "Bible Group Leader" when I was a bit older and my mom was all of sudden afraid of being smited or something and decided to go to Church... Oh how I made her pay First try and could probably do quicker but I'm tired: Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted December 31, 2008 yeah home row is a pain, I can't type like that at all, and the little bumps on f and j annoy me maybe I should find a file to grind that off later XD Share this post Link to post
Duke 0 Posted December 31, 2008 Wow I surprised even myself. That was only looking at the screen and I did stuff a few words up. I've always been good at typing. I had a similar experience in Year 10. Difference was my teacher was the reasonable sort and basically said: "Well, if you can type that fast the way you do it, it's pretty pointless to try forcing you to learn to type the proper way". yeah home row is a pain, I can't type like that at all, and the little bumps on f and j annoy me maybe I should find a file to grind that off later XD Disclaimer: CNCNZ.com, it's Staff and Affiliates do not condone or recommend this method in assisting typing speeds under any circumstances. Luk3us 63 Posted December 31, 2008 The home keys are what allow you to find where to put your fingers in the dark FYI. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted January 1, 2009 oh lordie i'm not even gonna try that xD i can type -very- fast but i make a lot of mistakes (especially if pressured) but i correct them instantly, since i'm pretty much just constantly looking at the screen whilst typing... hard for typo's to get past me >.> believe me, when i want to i can do everything properly. my mom has pretty much been a secretary and such her whole life so she made sure i know how to use proper english. however since i generally never use "proper" english (ie: captial letters at the start of sentences and so on) i don't bother to use them in most places. ...of course if i were writing a job application or something i'd type properly. but most of my typing is done in chat programs or on here. same thing applies with the anime emoticons. i -could- use proper english and few/no smilies, but you guys just aren't worth the hastle XP sorry. also i find that in any situation where i'm displaying emotion, the custom emots help show the tone of my text... seeing as sarcasm, silliness, anger and sadness can easily be misread for eachother in a place like this ^^; anyhow i'm pretty sure i'd get over 50 words per minute, maybe upwards of 100 seeing as i can easily out-type mom o.O; not gonna try though just cos i don't want to hurt my self-esteem anymore then it already is XD Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted January 1, 2009 The home keys are what allow you to find where to put your fingers in the dark FYI. well my computer isn't in a pitch black room FYI Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted January 1, 2009 well my computer isn't in a pitch black room FYI Then your doing it wrong, FYI. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted January 2, 2009 I had a similar experience in Year 10. Difference was my teacher was the reasonable sort and basically said: "Well, if you can type that fast the way you do it, it's pretty pointless to try forcing you to learn to type the proper way". That isn't similar then. You had a nice teacher, I had a bitch. The home keys are what allow you to find where to put your fingers in the dark FYI. Saitek illuminated keyboard ftw! mormreed 0 Posted January 2, 2009 I had a guy who was so clueless, or just didn't care so we just played the mini-games in the typing program XD Share this post Link to post
Duke 0 Posted January 3, 2009 Well mister Lukus. I just tried this again just now and got: 92 Words per Minute... ...and 0 errors. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted January 5, 2009 you lie D: either that or you used to be a professional typist on a type-writer... Share this post Link to post
Duke 0 Posted January 6, 2009 pics or it didn't happen Damn you! And so I wasted another minute of my life: Really. If you spend any sort of time either writing essays for school, chatting on msn or forumming you should get fast at typing. You don't even really need to spend that long - it's like anything, you just do it automatically. I probably couldn't even list the placings of each letter on a keyboard if my life depended on it but well for me anyway when I type I just go into autopilot....And while I spend a reasonable amount of time on a computer it would probably still be less than a lot of you guys Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) that is fast O: I've gotten way faster than I used to be, but I'm still pretty slow XD Edited January 6, 2009 by mormreed Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted January 12, 2009 i find i work better depending on the weather... like in extreme cold (extreme in the uk being between -3'C and -10'C) my hands are numb most of the time so i struggle a little more with typing. but in ideal conditions i'm -very- fast. i can type out a three line paragraph and have over 20 errors and i'd still have corrected those errors before an average person had typed out half of that paragraph xD Share this post Link to post
