POLL: ATI or Nvidia

Since I'm in a gaming community, I'm curious and would like a poll in here, a show of hands who's currently using ATI and who's currently using Nvidia graphics card in their systems.

 

First Choice: ATI users including those that uses Crossfire

Second Choice: Nvidia users including those that uses SLI

Third Choice: Some uses ATI cards for graphics with Nvidia for PhysX.

 

Make a choice, and if possible, share with us your preference.

nVidia really. Not that ATIs are bad but I've had a lot of success with nVidia cards and I see no reason to change.

I deliberately set this topic in this manner. It's not just a "{INSERT BRAND HERE} RULEZ" discussion, its more about just being curious and want to know what brand of graphics card you have in your rig right now. Even if you don't care but I'm just curious to know what brand of graphics card you have in your rig.

I've always used nVidia cards. If I didn't acquire my EVGA 9600 GT for free in my last system upgrade I would have considered an ATI card.

As for me, it's been years me and my dad support the use of Nvidia cards. For me, the reason was primarily due to PhysX and I believe Nvidia cards tend to be more stable than the cheaper and yet slightly powerful ATI.

I prefer nVidia cards. ATI cards are a bit better these days than they used to be. I just like nVidia cards more.

 

What I dislike about both companies is how they like to change their naming conventions to make things difficult...

Yeah i hate that, if i have a funk load of money and i'm looking to overkill on the top of the range card i can't just go and look for the highest number anymore.

Wow, votes are pretty one-sided.

Seems like I'm with everyone else, inclined towards Nvidia but only because I've happened to be using their cards to start with, they work fine and there is no reason to change.

This poll results is totally unexpected. 8 out of 8 guys own Nvidia graphics cards in their rigs. I thought at least a couple would own Radeon ATI cards.

Make that 9, I have an ATI in this comp but I didn't really know what a GFX card is when I bought it XD but I'm going with an nVidia

Actually i have an ATI mobilty 9000 on my laptop but the most graphicly demanding thing i do with it is play renegade, and on the main familly computer we had a fairlly decent ATI card but it crapped out and now its a low end Nvidia card
