What they might have done is milk Red Alert for all it was worth. This was perhaps the most fun of the C&C games, and a large part of that has to do with the silliness of it all.

Would EA take up the old C&C storylines? Would Joe Kukan make a reappearence as Kane? How could Kane be worked into the story? Assuming the GDI won in TS, he was killed. But then I guess if he was around to help Stalin to victory, climb out from the Temple of Nod, survive an Ion Cannon (the Playstation ending was extended and featured Kane climbing to the surface of the Temple, seeing an Ion Cannon about to strike, and willingly allows himself to be killed by it like some sacrificial God) and come back from his death duel with McNeal to become CABAL, then I guess anything is possible.

Yeah. But I wonder... If EA didn't have the SAGE Engine and Westwood would have it, then what would EA do? Steal it?

Meh. *cough* Maxis *cough* Sims. Seriously, if EA made a sequal to Generals, I wonder if all they'll do is add units that came out last year and tweak the stats a little, like they do with their sports games.

Generals is good. They only thing that sucks is the storyline.

All C&C games are quite similar to each other; build and conquer. C&C games should allow the player to choose where to attack giving the player more option and adds more strategy to the game, instead building hundreds of troops and slaughtering the enemy. It's too easy!

 

Stop playing the AI then, as for excitement - Online games put that back into it, but ofcourse none of you would even venture that far because you'd only face the inevitable ego enema.

I like Generals/Zero Hour, but the story line is sucks and the actors in Zero Hour is $#@%@. I want Generals/Zero Hour story line to be like Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge, I like the movies very much and they are cool. Why EA made the story line so bad in General's/ZeroHour?

Hey Thierry, do you know why Westwood is not the one who made Generals/Zero Hour? Why EA? Isn't Westwood is the maker of the previous Command & Conquer?

Because Electronic Arts bought out Westwood, and they continued the Command & Conquer series with Generals. In fact EA also made Yuri's Revenge and Renegade with Westwood, before making the games themselves. The same story with The Sims, EA bought Maxis and they create and recieve credit for future games.

Even so, in the short time that EA & Westwood worked together, they brought a few nice games. Emperor is a prime example.

How come Westwood has been bought by EA? Is it in bankrupt or something? It must be million dollars to bought Westwood. Why they don't just work together?

In a sense, they do. I think the reason that Westwood were bought out was because EA is such a large company (their budgets for games such as Medal of Honor and James Bond would run into the tens of millions) that they would be able to purchase a company even with Westwood's track record and would be able to pay the asking price Westwood would demand when EA approached them.

The only thing they need to do is balance the sides and support an official ladder none of this "1vs1 CW??????" crap all the time then having to report.

i say a list of things it needs

water units new engine like the cc3 has

make the game so rush can be defeated and the thing about ppl being offended by racial are etc things is bs its a war game get over it they shouldnt play it if they dont want war if they wouldnt say those things it would badly depress the game of the feel of war they need to just

level the game out like nuke genreal its too powerfull in the end games swusa is to powerfull in end game also inf gen is just bs usaf is the same evrey genreal in the game is bs all they need to do is balance it so that evrey faction can defend agaisnt a rush mabe like in the reborn mod the heli gen has the sparrow are whutever to defend agaisnt the rush of gla are china inf because like tigress was saying if they would limit the units like starcraft warcraft etc it would make zero gens deplete the game cuz they always rely on numbers cuz i dunno bout you but i love having a mass army looking at it on the mini map destroying my foes they just need to balance it with water units and if others dont like rush then they should put a tymer like in age of mythology in ther because rush is what command and conquer is all about
