I just REALLY want more information, especially on the change to Tiberium they hinted at.

I just hope that they don't try making Tiberium into just Tiberium spikes.... But all that is super rumor atm

That would be worse than anything they've tried pulling thus far, I don't think EA is that stupid though.

I hope your right, cause, honestly, thats literally the only thing they can do to the game that would make me not buy it (gameplay wise)

If EALA devs replaced RA3 ore mines with tiberium spikes, and proabbly you can see crystals (or pods for that matter) lying around the map but non-harvest-able, three words:

Stupidest...... Idea...... Ever.

Anyone notice the all snow terrain? That would be a first for a Tiberium C&C game.

Yes there were lots of snow in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm.

Yea, and I was counting the rest of the desert terrain are kept that way, maybe more fog and dust would be cool.

Ahh, sounds unique, and wait, did C&C3 or KW already got snowy terrain? The only thing we still need and in demand are snow-covered buildings! EA failed to do that in C&C3 & RA3, we should do it NOW and tell to the devs before they ignore the demand.

thats not going to happen for 1 reason! Tiberium is infesting the entire planet, so you just cant have few crystals laying arround and NOT be able to harvest them, ok there will be some huge crystals like in cnc3 maps and those will be cool for the RED zones, BUT only able to harvest from spikes i dont think this is going to happen...

in order to replace ra3 mines with tiberium spikes, they have to alter compltly the story line of tiberium, or evolve it in a way that conflicts with the past story.

one possible cenario is that tiberium infestation is reaching the Earts Core so its under the ground in order to harvest it they may need some Tiberium mines, BUT this is totally oposite with the cnc3 Scrin story where the eliens whanted to infest the entire SURFACE of the Planet and after killing anything alive they will harvest the tiberium!

so relax thats not going to happen, propobly have some kind of Tiberium Mines in the Blue Zones (in order to collect money if blue zones still exists in 2062) but not generally in the entire game.

Oh they did alter the storyline after reintroducing their own tiberium with properties that are far way off from the original. I doubt you call those Blue zones after these areas are infected once again with tiberium in the third war.

Since base building is more or less out, I imagine that you'll probably have to capture points of the map to gain income.

I mean you can't have harvesters if you don't have refineries. ;)

I can't recall if TS had snow, but KW did, not TW.

Me too, but I moved on, I also wanted to replay RA2 & YR, but they're already look too easy.

But anyway, still, I prefer the buildings we'll get to see in C&C4 should include snow-covered structures. Or if you're in a desert, some bone dry buildings would look good (Details such as minor cracks & with little smoke).

you will be able to build refinaries but your "MCV" will be a huge Mammoth MK2 style unit that walks Always arround can be upgraded with different weapons and that will be a builder, like the Total Anihilation and Supream Commander main Commander Units!

(by the way niec visual theme change you made there Sonic by using the cnc4 art images.)

As already said the game might have strategic points you need to take control of in order to get income (refineries).

nobody from EA said there will be NO stractures!

but to be honest nobody knows how the resources will work, if they use the XP for money this is totally wrong and will look like a boring DOW 2 like game.

the collection besides buildings can be done with mobile refinaries like the Yuri's refinarry method. in ra2.

we will have to wait few days for more info, and any cool 3d CGI game trailer.

No structure means it will not be like C&C, moreover, it's not RTS anymore but an RTT, well, I 100% hate RTT, fight with only what you have? That's bullsh*t! I rather spawn tanks from my factory and pound those heavy base defences down.

For the resource gathering, I'm not sure how it's going to look like, mobile refinery from YR or just limited to one harvester like in Renegade, we'll never know. We just need answers until Apoc or possibly Jim Vasella explains the gameplay.

I can confirm that they have done that...

I'm guessing you'll need to have a Crawler next to a capturable building (Spikes are such a building) to build units, as only such a Factory would build these units, and not the Crawler itself. (I hope I am wrong dearly however!)
