If you have been following the CNCNZ.com Twitter feed you would have noticed that Koen has been posting a few photos from CommandCom in Germany. The same selection of photos has now been added to the new CommandCom gallery. Here's a couple of them.

Maybe Louis Castle was just a special guest to EALA's special event.

 

I wonder why EALA named CommandCom as a special event for C&C4. That name is derived from the main DOS executable file for old Windows OSs as "Command.com"!!!

We have things such as Comic-Con, GamesCon and conventions like this. So CommandCom is the best choice for it. Unless you have a better name for it?

Yes, Louis Castle left EA a number of weeks ago. But for old time's sake, he is here. It's great when he tells a story about how they had to write their own video codec for Tiberian Dawn, because CD-ROMS back then were single speed and had very low bandwidth.

He's now at a company which is developing a system where you can immediately start playing a game, without downloading it (or only downloading like 10MB and the rest will be downloaded in the background during the game).
