The only trick, and the reason they suggested xfire, is an online chat facility to sync when your friends try to join you in a game, as they only have automatch in this current build.

So we would need to synchronise swatches, and press start at the same time to get the best chance to play together.

 

xfire is just a means to find other players who can play the beta when you want.
