I know, Pepzi, I don't think they're doing their best, they just want to post crap until the game is finally finished. They rely on our modders to develop great mods. In this case, the dev team decided to end with the smallest puff of wind instead of end it with a big bang.

Saracen, that was the most hilarious thing I've seen today. :D

"...with our PEW-PEW LASERS!!!!! ... AND ANOTHER BAM! BAM-BAM-BAM!!"

About the CNC video, it's... kinda meh. Not enough to pass judgement on the game, but I'm not super impressed. I thought the art of CNC 3 was good for the Tiberian universe, but it looks like they got RA and CNC art mixed up or something for this one. We'll see, I guess.

About that small soldier video we see during gameplay, or the FMV if we would get to see them. I'm not sure, IF they did mix RA + Tiberium together, then we'll all be lost. After all, re-shooting the scene with proper Tiberium universe-related clothing is not gonna happen.

I'm always have been a GDI fan. And i actually always played C&C for the GDI. Atm, it suits my requirments, and altough the gameplay looks a bit Ra3, it suits it just enough

Plus i'm keeping my hopes on mods :)

Wether they are C&C4 or on C&C3

Having no taste is the norm of the mainstream C&C community nowadays.

Since you poked the sleeping dragon, I'll just have to belch a fireball on you before I slither back into my cave.

Three months ago:

I hoped the changes to the C&C I was fond of would turn out ok.

I set my skepticism aside and prepared myself to enjoy a new game that might not be what I expect.

I tried to ignore every announcement that set this generation further away from its roots as something I would have to try to judge.

Then I played the beta...

I decided I would limit my criticisms for the sake of others.

I assumed the beta was really rough yet and would improve over time.

I figured the single-player campaigns could at least be better.

But the game only got worse...

Now, I'm afraid that my indifference has manifested. I no longer care. Not about this game, not about optimism, not about the community's take on it.

I still care about C&C, don't think I've turned into a Saracen clone... but this is not C&C. This is something grotesque and malformed.

I will buy this game when its price has reached a point so cheap, they are practically paying me to take it off the shelves.

I hope C&C has not died, but was merely beaten badly with a Tiberian Twilight stick and will recover after a few months of SelfHealing=yes.

That being said, those of you that still cower with your tiny candle of hope still flickering, may your flame not be trampled under the feet of the crawlers. Maintain your blissful optimism without ordering it to self-destruct to free up your pop cap, and don't let the worm men tell you to give up.

I thought I replied to this. >_> I had something really good, but now I forgot it. -_-

I agree with your opinion. Though I haven't played it (Somebody give me a damn beta key! >:o), I'm not really expecting a great C&C out of this game. I think I'll enjoy it, though. As long as it has some of the classic units, it'll be fun to play with my brother over LAN. I'm mad that the story of Nod has to end this way, but what am I going to do about it? I might as well enjoy it the best I can. I'm a Nod fanatic, so as long as there are Obelisks of Light, Cyborg Commandos, and Flame Tanks, I'm good. Hell, I think this is more "C&C" than C&C3.

But still, I don't know how they did such an incredibly good job with RA3, and than decided to change EVERYTHING with C&C4. RA3 was not only incredibly fun (the best in the RA series, in my opinion), but it was also very familiar to the people who played RA2. It was the same style as the older games. In that aspect, they completely failed with C&C3, and then even though C&C4 looks like it could have hearkened back to the days of Tiberian Sun, they had to go and completely overhaul the gameplay, right down to the damage types.

Like I said, though, I'm still going to make the most of it. It might not be a day 1 purchase, but I'm sure I'll still get it, play through the campaign, play some LAN with my brother, and have a blast doing it.
