TheBlackOut 7 Posted April 15, 2010 I've been considering a tattoo ever since I've turned 18. I don't find them too appealing but it wouldn't be horrible to have a small one on my upper arm of a little symbol that's a representative of my nerdiness. I've considered the Half Life symbol or the TF2 icon but why not pay my respects to my favorite video game series and what really drove my interest into video games, Command and Conquer? I've been thinking of what I'd want to get a tattoo of from C&C and I think I'm leaning towards the GDI icon.. but I want some ideas thrown out there, etc. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted April 15, 2010 Get the Nod scorpion instead.... much cooler Can't say I'm a fan of tattoos to be honest, think of what it will look like when your an old man pushing 70 or 80. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted April 15, 2010 Get the Nod scorpion instead.... much cooler Can't say I'm a fan of tattoos to be honest, think of what it will look like when your an old man pushing 70 or 80. I've also thought about it, it definitely would cooler in the sense that people that haven't played the game might like it too. I could get both.. And I don't think I'll really care what my aging tattoos look like when I'm that old, haha. And I'd probably get rid of a tattoo around 40 anyways. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 15, 2010 If I were you, I'd get both. As for the nerd factor, meh at least they're be half original. So many people get those generic tats that are so meh. I wouldn't worry about what it looks like in 70 years time, the tech to remove them is quite impressive now. So will only get better with time. Share this post Link to post
BioBen 3 Posted April 15, 2010 One of these would be pretty cool: Or you could go super-retro with the original logo: Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) My idea: don't. It may be original, but it's nerdy and maybe you won't be into C&C anymore in like five years, and you're stuck with this **** on your arm. Also, colored tattoos usually suck. Edited April 15, 2010 by Inferno Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 15, 2010 Indeed, if you do get a tat just get some black line art. Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted April 15, 2010 Sounds cool. But just some advice; keep it small and with thin lines and no colors. (you might wan't to "overwrite" it someday). Left mid wrist would be an appropriate spot. Hell.. you might even get it sponsored by EA? (An energy drink company called CULT payed people a whole bunch for getting their logo tattooed here in Denmark). Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted April 15, 2010 I know you like GDI more, but I think the Scorpion looks way cooler. I think you should do both though. This is the ultimate loyalty. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted April 16, 2010 And I'm leaning towards both GDI and Nod.. Nod on my left, GDI on my right. But I don't know what GDI looks the best. Nod doesn't change too much throughout the games but GDI does.. Hmmm. The C&C3 one doesn't look bad, though, but the TD looks nice too.. My idea: don't. It may be original, but it's nerdy and maybe you won't be into C&C anymore in like five years, and you're stuck with this **** on your arm. Also, colored tattoos usually suck. I'll always hold the older C&Cs in my heart so I don't really see the love for them dissapating. C&C4 made me sad and the recent C&Cs really aren't in the "loved" category but I still hold C&C up as what got me into video games in general. It sucked a lot of time in when I was a kid. And yea, I wasn't planning on getting a colored, just some black lines and outlines. Nothing too elaborate. Sounds cool. But just some advice; keep it small and with thin lines and no colors. (An energy drink company called CULT payed people a whole bunch for getting their logo tattooed here in Denmark). I might have to think about that, but on the wrist I'd be afraid I might not be able to hide it easily by wearing just a t-shirt or something. Share this post Link to post
Mighty BOB! 5 Posted April 16, 2010 Heh I've always thought about getting a GDI and Nod tattoo. One for each shoulder. Also TS logos all the way. No others can compare. Share this post Link to post
recover 2 Posted April 17, 2010 I wouldn't do it. It may be cool now but in like 10 years you might think to yourself "This tattoo does not suit me anymore". Consider getting something else, like a necklace with the GDI/Nod logos. It shows your affection in a similar way, and you can take it off like a pair of shoes. Share this post Link to post

Malevolence 6 Posted April 18, 2010 A Nod tattoo makes more sense than a GDI. Anyways, I personally don't really recommend tattoos. That's my two cents. Share this post Link to post

But getting custom necklaces or learning how to make them is a paiiin. I'll be considering it and after school I'll decide. But if I am going through with it, Nod TS on my left, GDI TS on my right. Upper arms me thinks. Share this post Link to post

Troopzor 5 Posted April 26, 2010 personally I was thinking of getting a tattoo of an Eagle and a scorpion locked in combat. It's both nerdy and awesome! Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted April 27, 2010 That's a better idea, because it'll still be awesome even if you don't like C&C anymore Share this post Link to post
Renamon 0 Posted May 5, 2010 My suggestion. This one might look good as a medal if you got a uniform or somethin'. One more cause meh. GDI logo shaped like the general geographical feature of the South-east Asian region. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 5, 2010 If anything, you should do ren's third logo tbh. Share this post Link to post
