dbjs2009 25 Posted May 11, 2010 Less than 24 hours later, Bungie revealed exactly how big the beta's first-day turnout was. "We had over 1 million unique players login to the Reach beta," the studio announced via Twitter. It also promised that it had rectified many of its server issues and the beta experience should be "smoother" as the week progressed. The developer expects over 3 million people to play the beta before it ends on May 19. The Halo: Reach beta can be accessed through the menu of last year's hit shooter Halo 3: ODST. It will initially include three different playlists that players can experiment with. While a variety of new and old match types will be covered, the playlists will feature the game's new four-on-four Team Deathmatch Arena mode. Bungie will add in a fourth playlist, which focuses on large-scale Spartan vs. Elite matches and introduces the "Generator Defense" match type on May 14. For most of the beta, access will be limited to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, as is typical for multiplayer gameplay on the Xbox 360. However, Xbox Live Silver members will get a chance to play the Reach beta (as well as Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST) online for free from 9 a.m. PDT on May 14 through 9 a.m. PDT on May 17 from gs maybe this is the reason why halo is the first in Guinness World Record's 50 Best Video Game Series Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 11, 2010 No it isn't. Halo sucks. **** Halo, **** Master Chief and double **** 'hardcore' Halo fans. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted May 11, 2010 I never understood what attracted people to Halo, I've always found the games to be quite boring. Share this post Link to post
m666 0 Posted May 11, 2010 It's not so much they're generic **** as much as they are just bland. It's simplistic gameplay that can catch a fanbase, but unlike other games that start simple (WoW comes to mind) there is no complexion for experienced gamers. We'll have to see how Halo: Reach plays out, not sticking to traditional Halo online models. Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted May 11, 2010 I never understood what attracted people to Halo, I've always found the games to be quite boring. Same here. I found the setting cheesy and the characters childish. The overall visuals of the game didn't attract me. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted May 11, 2010 Halo is ****ing shallow and full to the brim of 10 year old ****ers who do nothing but bitch at everything and everyone. It appeals to the retarded and stupid, of which there are a great many. This is the truth. If you can not handle the truth, then well. You suck. Honestly though, I don't really care about Halo one way or the other. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 11, 2010 Halo is awesome when playing on a console with friends, but crap in any other way. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted May 11, 2010 The problem with those Halo games lately is that it has failed expectations on the PC version, which is why there isn't going to be a Halo 3 for the PC version anyway. Although I never played the Halo series. it remains to the fact that now other game series are way better than this one. Even the Unreal series (including UT) should have pwned them, because their gameplay and graphic quality are way better than the Halo series. Share this post Link to post
Mighty BOB! 5 Posted May 12, 2010 I like Halo. I can't stand the idiot culture that has grown up around it though like a thick and tangled kudzu weed garden. Morons foaming at the mouth. Unless you're playing exclusively with friends the online is pretty much worthless, and you can only play the campaign so many times. Share this post Link to post
