Doctor Destiny 41 Posted July 7, 2011 TwinFrozr cards are usually too damn heavy. If you put two in there with no riser support, you could break your mainboard. That does not sound like good times. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 8, 2011 Hmm, they actually look a little thinner than I'd of thought. Share this post Link to post

Malevolence 6 Posted September 24, 2011 (edited) EVGA Launches EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified! Extreme overclockers Vince "k|ngp|n" Lucido and Illya "TiN" Tsemenko are not satisfied with the overclocking capabilities of current generation graphics cards. They want overclocking capabilities and performance that exists beyond what is traditionally considered enthusiast level. To overcome this, they began to work with EVGA on designing a new card from the ground up that is 100% focused on being the single fastest and greatest overclocking card on the block. This was accomplished with the EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified. This card features a 14+3 Phase Power Design that can deliver over 1000W of power, and the redesigned cooling solution with an 8CM fan improves efficiency by as much as 30% (compared to the standard cooler). The NEC Proadlizer, Super Low ESR SP-Cap capacitors, and high frequency 3MHz shielded inductors provide clean and precise voltage control, and the onboard voltage probe points lets you monitor them with ease. Of course, full support for the EVGA EVBot means that you can overclock and monitor your card on the fly, and a special OC BIOS enables extreme overclocking mode. The EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified is engineered and designed to perform for everyone, from gamers to the top overclocking enthusiasts in the world. The dual slot top cooled design means that you do not need to worry about space or motherboard layout limitations, and this card supports everything from single card up to 4-way SLI out of the box.Learn more here. http://www.evga.com/articles/00645/#built AIR COOLING The EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified Features a 14+3 Phase power design that can deliver an extreme amount of power, and the redesigned premium cooling design with an 8cm fan improves cooling efficiency by as much as 30% (compared to the standard cooler). The super low ESR, high frequency capacitors, and high frequency 3MHz shielded inductors provide clean and precise voltage control. Of course, full support for the EVGA EVBot means you can overclock and monitor your card on the fly, and a special OC BIOS enables extreme overclocking mode. Liquid Nitrogen or Phase Change coolers which can drop the GPU temperatures into the negative levels thrive on the EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified. With features like OC BIOS Mode which disables the thermal monitoring for reduced cold bug issues, to the extreme power delivery, you will be assured that the graphics card will not be the bottleneck here. The EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified is Vince "k|ngp|n" Lucido's card of choice for overclocking! If you want to get your hands on some Liquid Nitrogen cooling blocks for these cards, you can check out www.kingpincooling.com Extreme Cooling Bracket for EVGA GTX 580 Classified Also, EVGA is making available separately an Extreme Cooling Bracket, that ensures that the card's VRM is adequately cooled when using extreme cooling! This bracket is to be used when running on Liquid Nitrogen, Thermal Electric, Phase, or any other form of extreme cooling that does not cool the VRM. Malevolence 6 Posted October 6, 2011 Talk about overkill. You haven't seen the overclocking video above... I was quite shocked to see not 2 1200W PSUs... but 4... each dedicated for each GPU. + 1 more for the motherboard! In total there's 5 1200W PSUs in this setup? Overkill? Extreme! Malevolence 6 Posted November 11, 2011 Colorful Launches the most Insane Overkilled Most Powerful and Feature-Rich GeForce GTX 560Ti Kudan. iGame GTX560Ti Kudan requires three slots and assembles three fans, one is 80mm, and the other two are 70mm which with "Shark Bionic" design in order to reduce the noise. Users need to remove the cooler to install the expansion card on the obverse side near the rear plate. Both WHDI card and Television Card are available to be installed independently to satisfy users' requirement. There are two BIOS onboard and each of them stores a clock, and the different clocks are controlled by the button on the rear plate. When users press the button, the clock will be overclocked to 900MHz/4200MHz from default clock (820MHz/4000MHz). However, when you install the extra Power-Kit into the slot on the back of the PCB, the clock will change to the amazing 1010MHz/4500MHz. The iGame GTX560Ti Kudan has the unprecedented in dimensions of the packaging, which is up to 820mm (H) X165mm (L) X140mm (W), and with Chinese characters on it. The first set is called Air-Kit, which is assembled by five detachable heat pipes that draw heat from the main heatsink. The Air-Kit can be installed to the corresponding position that previously prepared on the graphics card, and can efficiently reduce the heat of the graphics card. The second set is called Power-Kit, which is introduced in the previous paragraph. The Power-Kit provides extra six phases of VRM, and have a "Monster BIOS" equipped. It is the first choice when users overclock this card after installing the Power-Kit. The third set is called Color-Kit, which is made up by acrylic paints and brushes. Malevolence 6 Posted November 13, 2011 AMD Justifies Using Liquid Chamber Tech On Upcoming 7900-Series Cards videocardz.com brings us a photo showing the benefits of AMD's new liquid chamber technology over the standard vapour chamber technology used in current heatpipe cooling solutions. There's quite a few benefits, some of which are no drying out, physical robustness and greater reliability. Indeed, can you imagine the disastrous effect on your graphics card of having the cooling system spring a leak during an intense gaming session? Doesn't bear thinking about… Certainly the era of having to replace your graphics card's shrill and inefficient cooler with a high performance aftermarket one are long over, as stock coolers are now generally of very good quality. The liquid chamber system will be used by all AMD's partners who stick to the reference design. Check out the photo for the full info. Share this post Link to post
