No it's not. There's always someone who has to act like they receive the worst imaginable pain because of a little contact. It has become part of the game and they are told to do it because it can ultimately change the match result.

I would watch normal soccer games if they could irradiate the dive.

All they would have to do is add a video ref for post-game analysis with banning/fines and it would stop quickly. Unfortunately with a giant field and only one ref (plus two touchey's) it's still worth the risk.... yellow card v penalty goal. I think they should turn soccer into a death sport... it worked for roller skates (ie. Rollerball with James Cann)!

As of right now, the Japanese are having a rough time against Paraguay and it's still 0-0 after two overtimes.

 

Edit: Paraguay eliminates the Japanese with a 5-3 win on penalty kicks.
