Hey guys, look what I found on the EA job site :)

And there is a couple more like this, hiring for "The team is currently very small and toward the beginning of the development cycle." I think it can only be the C&C team.. :thumbsup:

This dynamic team works in a very collaborative manner and is at the beginning of the development cycle.

Doesn't really prove anything. It could be anything else as well.

EA needs another engineer as a computer programmer to finish the patches for C&C3, KW, RA3 and C&C4. Most guys in the RTS dept. are gone. I don't think EALA may be going for C&C Generals 2 development already to compete with Trion's and Petroglyph's End of Nations, not even Red Alert 4.

I might assume EALA be going for a new C&C team soon along with Sam Bass, Jason Bender and Jim Vessella. Perhaps EALA may be using part of the Medal of Honor team and what's left of the Pandemic team to do a new gaming project.

Those games wont be patched, at least not any game before C&C4.

They might still patch RA3, but that is as far back as they would go.

More C&C by EA at this point would be embarrassing and awkward. It would be good though if they would take the time to patch a little here and there, even though there's no profit and it therefor probably won't happen.

I really doubt this "no profit" thing is really true when it comes to patching old games.

From what i have heard in the tight APOC line, older games (pre Generals) are under a red tape in EA, so the assets and titles are a "no go" without the say so from one of the chairmen of EA.

Don't your breath for these patches. Especially C&C 3 and Red Alert 3. Forget about KW 1.03, that was never happening anyway. As for C&C 4, if they were going to patch it they would have by now. They won't be patching any of these games at all. Its all about preparing for the future at EALA, not patching old games.

As for these jobs. They could be for anything. EALA is a big place with many projects in development, not just C&C.

According to Wikipedia (yea, grain of salt for credibility):

Future games developed by EA Los Angeles

* LMNO — (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC - TBA)

* Mercs Inc (working title)- (TBC)

* Medal of Honor (2010 video game) (single-player aspect) — (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC - Fall 2010)

EA as a whole has been making very.. interesting decisions lately regarding marketing their games. Apparently, for example, NBA Jam won't be Wii exclusive entirely. They are giving you a one-time-use account-locked code to download what is virtually a demo version of NBA Jam for PSN and XBLA with a full $60 retail copy of NBA Elite... this rather than making it a normal download at all! A demo of a game without a full version beyond what's on an entirely different console.

The Wii needs its share of good games coming out for it. Might finally shut those morons up who claim that the Wii has "no good games."

Well at least they're doing something; a couple years ago, they basically threw all their weight at the PS3 which did less than stellar as everybody knows. That actually ended up costing them financially, and in response, they announced (and have been following through with) expanding into the Wii market. I hate to say it but even if they don't make what you and I would consider okay games, the market is just SO large that they cannot afford to ignore it. Let's hope they bring the quality, even though they CAN afford to put out sub-par titles.
