W3D->SAGE->RNA

SAGE with RNA was better on AI. W3D at that time had buggy AI.

AI scripting and programming has nothing to do with the engine, at most its a sub engine. The AI is all external scripted and in no way shows the engines capablities.

What's wrong with SAGE? It has shown its defiance towards time. Basically the same engine moved Generals, Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3. TW looks pretty much more advanced than Generals, and it's really hard to believe that it's the same, but only tweaked engine :o

The engine is irrelevant. The gameplay is what counts. That's why everyone plays older C&C games :P

One of the reasons I enjoyed newer C&C games was because they used the same engine that Westwood created and they play pretty much consistently. I hope they use the engine but even if they don't, I will still play it.

I hope it's not some Tiberium tale bull**** again. C&C needs a full reboot and by that I mean something entirely new. So sick of GDI, Nod, Tiberium and Kane already.

Although I don't think it's complete BS, I agree. The Modding community shall carry on with it. Milking the Tiberium universe one more time would definitely put the last nail in the franchise coffin (and I share that opinion for the Red Alert universe as well).

I don't see what's wrong with the Sage engine either. I think Red Alert 3 generally worked fine and the graphics where indeed good. Whether I like the sickening choice of colors and textures is an entirely different story though :P

The engine will be able to handle future C&C games just fine. After all, as I'm sure most of us agree on, the gameplay is what really needs focus. It's the center of the universe in any game (like you didn't know, sorry :P ).
