Question to the CNCNZ guys regarding BCPT

Recommended Posts

Now that Zee Hypnotist returned to Tiberium Legos, any chance if you guys may want Battlecast Primetime (BCPT) to return? Perhaps making your own?

It appears some BCPT fans want to start their own series:

and

I am not asking you guys to help them. I am asking you guys to make your own if you wish to. Add in BCPT-NZ and I bet it'll be the best BCPT spin-off series ever. Why? You guys have the best experience in C&C news, mod news, the Roundtable Discussion, the polls, and especially the fun of Tiberium Legos. :)

Making another series of BCPT is pointless and meaningless because there are no new C&C products, stories or big news to hype and market on.

After all, BCPT series was made with the main motive was to hype as big as possible on those C&C new games back then.

I seriously don't know how a series can be churned out with some small C&C mods updates, maybe some internet LOL jokes to goof around to the audiences, maybe CNCNZ's Tiberium Legos, some GameReplay's competitive gameplay replays and some lousy players/cheaters b*tching... and maybe monthly episodes.. meh.

While this is something I'd love to get involved in to make it look a hell of a lot better and to offer insightful advice, I see no future in fans trying to reinstate BCPT. It would need another title because you can't have a news studio with two people who live in completely different states or even countries, and at the same time, just like Malevolence said, there's nothing new happening around the community. Sure, mods and such, but was BCPT ever really about that stuff? Even my videos never made it to that.

Lovely idea, but it'll take too long to organise it even without live hosts, and no bigger news in this post-apocalypseC&C4 time...

We tried our own news style video series back 2008/2009 with the LiveWire and Rewind series. It kind of worked but it became so much work for so little in return. So no CNCNZ.com will not resurrect BCPT. Simply because of the work involved. And besides EA own it, if were to come back it should be by them, no one else.

If we were, and stress the word "were", to do our own it be the return of the LiveWire and Rewind concept.... but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Do you still have those videos somewhere Sonic?

Yeah, when did you start making backups, Sonic? You lost the Kane welcome video (except the audio that remains in the first TibLego episodes) from 2007, did LiveWire/Rewind share that fate?

Unfortunately, back then, I was personally uploading the videos to Youtube, if I remember correctly, and I dont have backups of ANYTHING.

Yeah I think Zee had the original source videos, but I'm sure I had copies. I'll have go check my back up external hard drives. If I find them I'll upload them again to our YouTube channel.

And I guess it ok to say this. Zee and I have briefly tossed around the idea of bringing back the LiveWire/Rewind concept. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but Zee has shown me some cool green screen tricks he can do. But that's about as far as we have gotten on that project.
