Tree 0 Posted January 23, 2012 A software developer has managed to re-create C&C95 with HTML5 and JavaScript. It runs a little slow on my machine, but it's still pretty fun to play. Play it here: http://apps.nahklick.de/cnc/ Techie details: http://www.adityaravishankar.com/2011/11/command-and-conquer-programming-an-rts-game-in-html5-and-javascript/ Source code: https://github.com/adityaravishankar/command-and-conquer Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted January 23, 2012 Is this the same one we posted about back in March 2011? http://forums.cncnz....in-your-browser Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted January 23, 2012 No. This is worse. The guys that made the new one obviously don't know anything about the missions or tech levels. Also, the old one was taken down. Share this post Link to post
Johnnyxp64 20 Posted January 28, 2012 well its just a tech preview of a java developer! its not a project to become an actual full game! just from a developer's perspective it totally like the effort! Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 100 Posted February 3, 2012 Not bad, but the lack of cell-based movement and placement rules kinda bothered me. Also, needs infantry The only thing that really bothered me was the fact the refinery was lacking its passable area. The Refinery is supposed to have this as foundation: X: impassable O: passable X XXX OOO Instead it just had a full solid 3x3 block. Placing it with its lower left cell next to a clump of trees actually prevented my harvester from unloading. Share this post Link to post
