Well, I've seen their debates in news a lot. They try to defeat their opponent by any means necessary. By criticizing their opponent weakness, and many other. I wonder who will be the next Presiden of the United States. What's your guess?

American Election Debate:

Bush: My oponant's a nob head.

Kerry: Well Bush is an asshat.

END

I prefer the British debats thank you, they're more cultured.

Culture is meaningless. Good debates are nothing but cleverly disguised name calling. I like that; it makes me laugh.

Besides, I don't want either to win so I don't care.

American politics..... give me a break

I don't care who wins the election, it means nothing to me anyway. Even I was a US citizen it still wouldn't mean anything to me.

I don't even vote in the NZ elections.

You mean the Gay-Nadier off Renegade Alert? That's what we call grenadiers :P

Who is Ralph Nadier anyway?

I think we should care about the American elections... I mean if bush gets in the world is almost in the hands of a thick-headed dumb-ass who has the potential to destroy America and it's closest ally the UK. He'll just mess up even more and send this world heading towards more Mutually Assured Destruction from Terrorists because his policies just don't work!!

Then you have Kerry who I think is all mouth and will be no action... he has the potential to unfabricate every thing good, Bush has done, and make Iraq worse than it already is.... He's promising to pull troops out of Iraq!!!

That will leave UK forces in there pretty much alone.... If that happens we'll be lambs to the slaugher... then after loads of losses the UK will pull out... Sounds good but then Iraq will tear itself apart... the terrorists there will get to the interim government, assasinate them, the country declares its own marshal law... The country plunges into civil war... Oil will rise even more sky high because of the war... and the World Economy goes hay wire.. World markets could crash, everything into chaos!!!

SOMEBODY CALL IN ARNIE SCHWARZNEGGER!!!!!!

Would be cool to have the Terminator in the White House

Seriously though, current US law prevents Arnie from running for President because he was not born in the USA.

True, we must care about this. Whoever wins, will affect the entire world.

By the way, can someone edit the pole and add "None of them" poll option. I think the moderators can do this. Since I don't like both of them. I forgot to add the "None of the" poll option, and I can't edit it again.

Ok, civilised isn't the word to use; subtle would be more appropriate.

OK I've added 3 more options to the poll... Somehow I can see the latter shooting up somehow... but I think you should care.

America has too much power and say on what's going on in the world.. Those 50 odd states America has are the size of countries!! North America is a continent... Not in a million years should somebody have that much power over such a vast amount of land... really it's outrageous!!

America's states should be broken up into 10 or more countries and each country given it's own complete laws and government... True it's impossible and lets face it... America's military would be nothing, the economy although it might suffer, it may actually improve?? Who knows... the American public wouldn't be happy... But they are decended from British colonial trators so who am I to argue

On a slightly different note....

With all the power and wealth America has... is a European superstate so bad afterall??? OK I know I'm contradicting myself now but with a single president that rules and governs an entire continent, wouldn't that help Europe overall and make it somewhere towards as powerful as the USA??? I can see where our Premier Tony Blair is coming from in some ways..

The UK public do not want that... and with Elections of the UK drawing closer.. would Europe throw us out of the union? We'd be alone yes... but I'm sure there are some benefits to not being tied up with Brussels governing some of our more international policies....

Thoughts please.....

Thanks, and we reall should care about this. If the American choose the wrong president, there maybe will occure another war.

Ralph Nader is the Green party candidate. He's not well known even in America and he's got my vote. ;)

I thought he was libertarian. Ah, the UK, how I miss the culture

Well having done GCSE Geography and doing A Level; I've been brainwashed into being very pro-european.

There are definate benefits, such as much, much, much more public money and economical compeition (mainly with the US).

2 botes for bush and another 2 votes for kerry. Hmm....so there are still President Bush fans. Since I'm not American and don't know their politics clearly, I vote for none of them. I don't like bush and Kerry from the way of their campaign. Ralph Nader sounds good. I just don't like president who mock each other just to gain supremacy.
