CommandAndConquer.com Turned Into Placeholder Site

Recommended Posts

I don't even think EA will have ANYTHING for the upcoming C&C's 20th anniversary, except maybe on what Easy Studios might have for C&C TA. Most likely as of now C&C is dead in the water while Easy Studios still maintaining operations of C&C TA, C&C games still have online support by the community and C&C mods and indies are now in the downfall.

The forums at commandandconquer.com will not reopen, at least not for the near term. If EA ever does anything else with the game then I suppose new forums will be in order but until then all we have are (other than wonderful fansites like this and like gamereplays.org) legacy subforums on the TA site.

Disappointing, but not surprising. Sell the franchise already, Egotistical Assholes®.

Do they even do that? I doubt it.

They will never sell the francise....its like realestate...just because they are incompetent of building on it, doesnt mean they will sell a famous tourist location to a competitor. CnC isnt just a franchise name, you can ...and alot of people use command and conque to discribe a genre even. "Hey what are you playing?" "Oh i'm playing ****, it is a command and conquer like game".

Westwood choose the name perfectly....2 single words that descibe perfectly what the game is about, Command...and...conquer.

If they sell that, it is like selling the biggest opening in the market. EA knows that at this point it isnt remotely capable of creating a worthy CnC game. But it ****in fear the competitor that would or could steal that priced spot.

They are sitting on a piece of history, possible worth millions. If EA can't exploit it, they sure has hell will make sure nobody else can, its not the first time they did something like that. If you can't beat the competition, reduce the competition.
