Sonic 296 Posted February 15, 2016 It's Music Monday time once again, where we share our favourite tracks from the archives of Command & Conquer soundtracks. This week's selection is "Pharotek" from the Tiberian Sun soundtrack. Composed by Jarrid Mendelson, this one is has a strange and sometimes haunting sound, but totally fits within the atmospheric theme that the Tiberian Sun soundtrack is based around. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday. 2 Share this post Link to post

PurpleGaga27 40 Posted February 15, 2016 That is one of the best C&C theme tracks ever. Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted February 16, 2016 I like how this track managed to fit in with the rest of the soundtracks while standing out with its ancient and mystic tones. While C&C in general is home to some true video game soundtrack classics, my favorite is the Tiberian Sun / Firestorm collection of soundtracks. I still find it the most interesting one to listen to to this date. Found it funny to look back and realize how much of an impact the music had on the C&C games (which is probably also the reason as to why this Monday ritual even exist! ).Personally I find Tiberium Wars to be one of the weakest in this regard compared to earlier titles. One of very few grudges I had with that game. Share this post Link to post
Egozi44 28 Posted February 16, 2016 Back at the day when TW came out I didn't was big fan of it as well, for me the old school C&C games were best (include Generals, even though it was different from the old schools) Eventually I got used to the new style and balance, and KW added most of what I felt that was missing (guess that after YR and ZH I can't just stand games without exp xD) The game was mostly made by non westwood crew (unless I mistake and EALA did had a few refugees) So it no surprise it look so much different, if you take the multiplayer players into account you can sort of understand why EA changed the gameplay so much from older titles to fit our current Era (they can tell you what they want, but main reason is most likely the $$$ xD ) Share this post Link to post
