CNCNZ.com Administration Change

Recommended Posts

news2017b copy.png

We have some site-related news to post tonight. CNCNZ.com is changing administration, in a way, but not much will actually change.

Before you ask, no, we are not in any danger from shutting down again, like we were a year ago. What happens is this - Rabbit (ex-Zee Hypnotist), who took over the site from the hosting and leadership role, is taking a back seat. He is still our host, and he will still be around on our forums and Discord server from time to time, and will help out if something on the site breaks, but he is no longer the leader of the site. As of this moment, I am. This has been a decision that took a lot of discussion for a long period of time, as Rabbit never intended to fully lead the site, just save it from closure, as he leads a busy private life. On the flip side, I have been working hard on networking with core community leaders (which hasn't been done since C&C Webbies went down), communicating with EA staff, and maintaining information, tech, and gallery pages on the site, so this was another part of the reasoning.

What will change in the site's direction? Probably not much for a while. There are only 3 staff members currently around, which considering the extent of our activities online and offline, doesn't allow for much in terms of new content, though we are always looking for new staff. What will continue is us bringing you both official and community news on Command & Conquer, and I also hope to bring back some neglected features (I know we kept promising a lot over the past year, but I'm trying to keep it real with the features that will be revived).

Thank you all for sticking with us, and we hope that you will do so in the future as well.

Guest Rabbit

I've come and gone from CNCNZ many times, sometimes for a long time, and I plan on hibernating once again. However, like Plokite_Wolf said, I'll still be around for a while, making sure the transition goes smoothly and ensuring the site does not crumble in my absense.

I truly believe Plokite_Wolf's unwavering dedication to C&C and the community is exactly why he should be the one to lead CNCNZ into the unknown. Thanks to the donations of many generous fans last year, we were able to keep the site alive, and now that CNCNZ is safe from closure, Plokite_Wolf will continue to lead the site for a long time to come.

I have been wondering how Rabbit has been actually. Feels like sometime since we last played 7 Days to Die or just chilled. Happy to know that CNCNZ will still find a way to keep afloat, and I am hopeful for the future. If there any side projects or community tasks you need tackling, I am available for the summer and I'll have more free time this coming school semester as well. PM me on Discord and give me a shout anytime.

I also noticed RabbitHive's site is down for maintenance, but I don't think Rabbit is retiring yet, as long as he still hosts this site. Is it also time that C&C Legos come to an end for the final time?

Ever since Sonic left, most of the Kiwis and Aussies left the forums.

I am not surprised the wolf wanted the position, but I already knew he wants to rule C&C because he's everywhere.

It is online, just a tad slower at the moment.
