Judging by his topics and what they contain, he certainly seems to go out of his way to offend others. Do the parents of Elizabeth Smart not have a right to be upset if they came across his article on her? Of course, they would be outraged, and have every reason to be. I have views of my own. I think, for example, that people who set out to hurt others ought to be fried. I do not advertise that because it would not only upset some people it might make people come after me.

 

As for what he says being satire, how do we know it is satire? There are those out there who say things a lot worse and are completely serious about what they say. Others are psychotic beyond any so called crazy who is offended by people promoting suicide on the Internet.

What's offensive about movie rants? His aim is to be satirical and sarcastic. Most people (idiots) make it worse than it is. If you're stupid enough to do what some anonymous Interet article writer says, then you really shouldn't be living. I hate to break it to everyone but there are a lot of idiots out there.

I do realize some people are serious but you can't tell. It's the Internet; you never really know but you can often tell by the tone of someone's writing whether they're serious or not.

Well, I cannot be bothered to debate the point. If people have utter disregard to the feelings of other people there is very little I can do to change that. All I can really say is their attitudes make themselves look bad, and be it on their own head if the backlash for their actions is like a Texas tornado.

 

Oh well. Maybe limiting the air time he recieves by no longer talking about him will make him see that being offensive is not popular. If someone does not shut him up first.

Notice the bolded statements. That's your post JFM. You, as in yourself, stated explicitly that you don't like him. Not liking someone generally means you'll immediately disagree with his thoughts as well. Besides, he's not complaining. He is expressing his opinion. His thoughts are negative but that's what he thinks. As I said before, he's not sugarcoating it for pansies.

The thing you have to realise with these people is that the more you allow them to upset you the more you stroke their ego. The best way to hurt them is not by complaining. That only encourages them. The best thing you can do is ignore it and deny it their reward. A quiet word to someone who can investigate the site if you feel what they are doing is wrong might not hurt either.

Laws were created to limit people freedom, don't forget about that. There ARE limitations in freedom. Besides, I'm not just talking about killing people in my previous thread, but also, the freedom of speech.

 

For another example which is obvious, is here, at this site. Do you think why the admins delete the flamers zone and restric people from using abusive and nasty words? AND you said it by yourself through your post that YOU agree with flamers zone gone, and most of us are agree too. Why? To limit people freedom from mocking people, and you are one of the victim of the flamers zone, by luk3us and thierry, and gaz too I think.

 

Freedom can be bad too, and laws were created to remove the bad freedoms.
