Most hated unit

Recommended Posts

Wow...this has been going for ages..and seems to have stopped, so I'm gunna try keep it going for you guys.

Most annoying unit: Kirov's, anyone? Using them: Slow. Against them: Tough to shoot down. Sure, you can build lots and lots of AA defence. But still..I wonder how many people have experienced a Soviet player who's sole interest were Conscripts and Kirov's. INFURIATING!!! GAH! Try groups of 200+ Conscripts and roughly the same amount of Kirov's. I counted. :hate:

America Stuff: 'Nuff said. My Two Cents: BAH!

Food: FOOD! BEER! Which isn't a food, but BEER!

Fast food: I like Wendy's but they're too damn expensive. But the burgers a big mothers, especially the Triple Classic burger. Okay, I'll admit it, I work in one part-time, but I won't be very soon. WOOT! Reason: Finished 7th form forever, but, having been accepted into the RNZAF, I've got this year off for doing whatever the hell I want. That DOES NOT include working at Wendy's.

Hell's Pizza: Best Pizza in the damn world. luk3us'll know what I'm on about, unless there isn't a Hell down in that puny south island...

Haven't played anything before RA2 mind you..But I do know the storylines quite well. Can't find any copies of those old relics anywhere these days :(

I would have to say the terrorists are a pain when they bail out just a split second before the flaktrak is blown up and they scatter to the four winds to blow up everything nearby. Then of course the Yuri clones really tick me off when they botch up a perfectly good tank formation by mindzapping one or more of them.

Hey Bware as far as the terror drones go:

When i get a tank that is 'infected' i try to send the tank as close to another enemy base as i can - after losing my tank then the drone is THEIR problem from then on, not mine.

Last but not least the prism tanks are too overpowerful with thier killer range and damage... i think i hate them most of all.

Terror drones: A few Mirages or Teslas handle them easy enough

Prsim tanks: Blast them with what ever, weak armor, but powerful gun. Deployed Seige choppers help with this.

Terrorits: A few snipers and Seals/ Desolators scattered around the base keep the paratroops and terrorists at bay.

Kirovs: If they have enough time to build 200 Kirovs, then thats your fault for not attacking.

Hehe, I know it's my fault for not attacking, but at the time I was a turtler player, and quite good, but it lead me no-where, so I've changed my strategy. But it was fun nonetheless, to see that many Conscripts and Kirovs fall

Seeing swarms of missiles rocket up to knock down Kirov after Kirov after Kirov........and seeing hundreds of Conscripts gunned down by 3 Nave Seals

Oh yeah, C&C has its values.

Too damn right it does. What was your best RA2/YR moment in multiplayer? That one has to be one of mine, though I've got a couple others, and I'm pretty sure more experienced veterans have more still. To quickly get back on track for a moment, my most annoying unit has to be the Mastermind, used in large groups. Sure, it has heaps of weaknesses (Vulnerable to anything flying, Robot Tanks and Terror Drones, and Conscripts  ) but if they are used properly against you... :bang: Vice Versa applies here too

Even better when you have demo trucks ready to go, then you get nuked in your base, and the demo trucks are still there.:evil::evil:

I'm never doing that again.

Oooh....ouch...mind you, Terrorists are worse :bang: Don't get me started on them.

Hrm, Hunter-Seeker? I'm not in the knowledge of the Tiberium series very well. I'm guessing it comes from them, am I right? You basically said it's a suicide unit, and I'm gunna ask a bit of a silly question here, but what is it's main priority? And what side is it on? Tell me about it! I wanna know!

Its on both GDI and Nod, once you have the proper buildings up (temple of Nod or GDI upgrade center with Hunter seeker control) then it charges like a superweapon. When released it "randomly" picks a target and attaches on to blow it up. You hunter seekers always pick stupid things like infantry to blow up, but the AI hunterseekers always get war factories and refineries and con yards. And the Hunterseeker ignores Walls and Firestorm walls.

BTW get familiar with TS, it is good, especially the cut scenes

my god i had to read all through that now i gotta remember all topics q~p;

"As for Blair being a "great" man, you obviously have poor sources. Blair has ruined England, everything it once stood for is dying. For example, we have an emergency powers act which allows a law from the house of commons to pass without vote in the house of lords, for times of EMERGENCY, it has only been used in war situations & then it was 2 times for good causes. In Blairs government he has used it 3 times in 10years, & for what, to stop the bloody foxhunting! He is completely undermining the house of lords! Having a lordship myself I find this ridiculous. Also he is constantly taxing those who earn their money fairly, to give benefits so that some lazy slob with no job can go & by crack! What good has he done for this country? None! "

- that is true. but seeing as no-one stands up for it (blair. personally i hate him, thus the "it") but speaking for the unemployed minority; we don't all buy crack. i hate drugs, drink and smoking. any money is more then welcome. we can't all be lords y'know o.o and stopping fox hunting is GOOD. GOOOOOD!!! how would you like to be eaten by 20 or 30 dogs the size of tigers huh? : okie sure it's undermining but it's for a good thing even if you may not think so. don't get me wrong i'm not starting some kind of flame war with you (i agree with all your other posts in this topic) just expressing my opinion.

burger thing - GEEZ THAT IS BIG o_o; i'm anorexic and 1 step away from being a vegitarian (haha) so that was kinda gross, fake or not.

5'4" between 80 - 90lb. note "anorexic"

love pork pies! one of my favourite snacks (one of the reasons i'm not a veggie yet XDDDD)

hated units - rocket buggie!!! that is what always leads to my downfall!!! plus having the "special" units in the old games... sure might be able to use them once or twice but they are no use lol... newer ones are okie i guess... at least SEALS, Tanya, Boris, Burton etc etc can hold their own...

and the Kirovs! thank god someone mentioned them! arrg why do the Ai's always use two each, all at the same time, in the one place at your base which is not defended when you have no money? or drop a nuke on your main base seconds before you are ready to launch an invasion? or single-handedly take down your entire money-making operation in one accidental move, delaying you for up to another hour?!!? lolol so many problems... hunterseekers never bothered me too much, but might as well use them *shrugs*

i did always love the selectable turret thing in TS o.o hope they put that in C&C3... it gave you a more down-to-earth building feel... like lego =3

Yeesh, sounds like crap. The hunter-seekers I mean. Meh, oh well. Haha, I've been trying to find a place where they still sell TS. Haven't had any luck yet :( Mebbe I'm too late? *shrugs* oh well, at least I still have RA2 and YR to mess around with.

...they still sell TS? o_O cool... oh yah! robocod pwns XD that reminds me o.o; i gotta buy the newest Dune game... i had the old ones on PS1 and pc...

on the previously mentioned shabby units - the only time i've ever managed to use a special unit was against my cousin in a PS linked game on Retaliation =3 i literally went "oi look over there... watch this infantryman commit suicide" then i walked the spy (i think it was) into the other end of his base and killed his radar while he was watching this guy walk under a harvester XD;;

oh yah oO; (bad memory) my favourite moment ever was in Yuri's when i put a SEAL, 2 GI's and two anti-tank guys in a fortress, repeated by 5 then sent all 6 of them in the enemies base in teams... god it was beautiful *sniffs*

or the time in ZH when i wrote my name in particle cannons on the floor (got pictures somewhere to prove it lol) or the time i was looking at my base and suddenly a nuke went off in front of me ^^ i went into some kind of epileptic fit... kinda trippy... oO

Hahahaha, that's classy man. Though what pisses me off is when noobs start flaming you when you play online, when you use spies to shut down their power, etc. THAT'S WHAT THE SPY IS USED FOR FOOL! THAT'S WHY THE SOVIETS HAVE ATTACK DOGS! They goes nucking futs when you do that. So instead of flaming back, I just roll up some Prism tanks, and a few Battle Fortresses loaded with a SEAL and 4 Guardien GI's each. Cue mass destruction, please.

about the spy thing - what was funnier is when i did it my cousin was utterly freaking out and going "**** **** **** she's gonna attack meeee! i can't see!" dispite the fact that both tv's were next to each other and all he had to do was look over o.o

POST THEM PICS! Hahaha, I've managed to do that myself, but I forgot the screenshots. Another moment of mine was when I was playing as the GLA Demo General in ZH, heh, it's rare for me to play as the GLA, because I don't particularly like them, but bulding 20 SCUD Storms and managing to hault at least 300 Overlord tanks with them...jeez...must've been the best defensive play ever. But the best defensive play was when I was the USA, I had turtled about half of....ack, can't remember which map it was, it was the one with with the snowy mountain in the middle of the map with Oil Derricks and supply depots abundant, and the rest of the map was temperate. I think it was snow in the middle. Can't remember. Bah, never mind. But I had set up a massive defensive perimeter and I had to defend against yet another 100+ Overlord rush, plus a GLA rush consister of Maruaders, Scorpians, and a ****LOAD of angry mobs. Horrible, absolutly horrible. But I pulled through. My mates threw a fit when I did. They had wasted around $100,000 each on units to try and get through, but I destroyed everything. Ahh...memories of victory are sweet. 8)

*smacks his forehead* Your cousin be stupid. *laughs* Mind you it's probably happened to all of us at least once. You should've wasted his base just to piss him off even more. Haha. Ack, *I didn't know about taking screenshots at the time* for my last post. lol. What's funny about playing against my mates, is that Adam, who plays mostly as the Chinese, never utilizes the MiGs as a support role. Never. And Ryan, GLA master, never uses those SCUD launchers. I play both the USA and China equally well. Maybe the USA morese, because of the fact that their AF has more variaty. Stealth Fighters kick ass

i did waste his base... it gets better. i did it with 10, yes TEN rifle infantry. ie; basic infantry. whole base. and he had big ass tanks XD!!! all he had left was them then he tried to attack my base and died ^^; funny enough i haven't played him since. can't think why he doesn't want to o.o

Man that must've sucked for him. *laughs* Doing the same with Conscripts in RA2 has to be really funny when you get messages saying **** like, "THATS NOT FAIR!!!111 IM GUNNA TELL WESTWOOD ON YO!!1!" Bleah, learn to build Pillboxes/Sentry Guns. Tesla Coils/Prism Towers don't defend against a well-organised mass - infantry attack.

oh god! *drools* mass GI invasion... what i love doing is putting about 50 - 200 raw GI's on an important link in the middle of the map, and fortify them... keep them in a tight circle. any that turn into elites (3 sargeant rank) i remove them far behind the main lines... then repeat that until i had an army of elites... then send them all in 'choppers, 10 choppers... each with about 8 guys in... all landing just inside the base n.n

it pwns. (on yuri's)

*laughs* That sounds exactly what I'd do. You tried it with Initiates yet? God, their range is short compared to GI's or Conscripts, but hell they're powerful when elite. 'Course, you can't deploy them, which isn't as fun, but try putting elite Initiates into BF's...a bunch of them can tear a base to shreads.:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted: 8)

ever got 10 elite snipers? =3 damn that was sweet... playing against 3 or 4 hard ai's... hundreds of infantry getting mown down with practically machinegun fire by something two screen lengths away xD!!!!
